I'd also recommend RebelTaxi's review as it goes into more detail (and, you know, doesn't have skits)

Turning this one on now, but kind of prepared to turn it off if it gets annoying since Phelous is posting a review of the movie soon too and I generally find him funnier.

Sarah looks too much like an inflatable sex doll.

I suggest you all watch the Grandma supercut on Youtube. That part of the review kind of irritated me, because I was cracking up just at the grandma herself and his jokes just completely cut it off at the knees.

Sarah looks too much like an inflatable sex doll. Too much? Or not enough?

I suggest you all watch the Grandma supercut on Youtube. I burst out laughing when it got to that part at the end, because I actually knew something of this movie beforehand. Stunned to see some of those people involved. They got Hamill, Paige O'Hara and Jodi Benson involved in this. Gah. And Bart Simpson voiced and produced this. Critic really was on fire with this one. His reactions to her garbled grandma dialogue enters my all time fave Critic clips.

I just can't believe that this is something that entertainment professionals took a look at and genuinely agreed was high-quality enough to be broadcast on national TV, without anyone in authority stopping it. Keep in mind the layers of approval something like this has to go through before they get approved. There are people who spen years perfecting their passion project, and almost get it published, only for someone to say no, and to the garbage can it goes, but THIS was given the green light?!
And man, I know making a living as a voice actor is tough but jeez, was the cast this desperate?

I'm curious. HOW exactly was this made?
I mean, like.... not the process, but how did anybody look at this and go "Yup, that's good. Let's release this majestic beast into the universe."

I’m convinced this was some kind of weird favour or something Nancy was doing for a friend and she managed to get her friends along to do voice acting because, well, there’s no other real explanation for it. Because to talk about people being desperate, Cartwright alone hasn’t been desperate for work since 1989.

At the end of the RebelTaxi review he briefly goes into the making of the special.
From the sound of things the animation company and the director took the producers for a ride, of course the producers should have reigned in things more as one of them didn't even see the special until it actually aired.

And man, I know making a living as a voice actor is tough but jeez, was the cast this desperate? As with Food Fight!, there was probably an air of legitimacy (known people attached to it already as voices or execs) to the production and they didn't suspect a thing, and the horrors all occurred post voice production. It's not like people voice these things with the cartoons running right in front of them.

Yeah, very rarely do voice actors see what they’re recording because they need the voices to do lip syncing properly unless it’s an international dub depending on the production budget. But even then, you can tell when they only focus on one version (i.e. Zootopia being Zootropolis in the UK, the line was recorded but not the lip movement).
