Ha, this reminds me of the Demo discs that used to come with Playstation magazine, the system when you bought it.

A Star Wars fighting game isn't a bad idea if done right.

Wait, what? Did something bad happen there? Bootsy was let go from Cinemassacre last year. Notice how he hasn't appeared in a long time. When asked when he would be back, Mike said something about how Bootsy is super busy. And Bootsy tweeted that he had been let go and strongly hinted that there was issues between him and Mike. Aww man, that's too bad. The Dream Phone song he did for the Board James episode was NICE

A Star Wars fighting game isn't a bad idea if done right. I'm surprised it hasn't been done again. The team that makes the Mortal Kombat games could probably make an amazing SW fighter.

I liked Maximilian Dood's look at the game more, but that's more for people with a good base knowledge of fighting games already, otherwise a good chunk of it might go over your head.
I wonder how the inputs for the special moves actually work. I've heard in multiple places that it's just plain weird. All I've ever played of this game was on a demo disc that (to my knowledge) had no input guide, so if you didn't bother to look them up online (last time I played it, I still had dialup...forget a phone to use the internet with), you'd go in blind.
And I agree with the sentiment that a Star Wars fighter done right would be kickass. I'd love to see the Netherealm team get a crack at it, but with Disney owning the property and also loaning Marvel out to Capcom, who knows if anyone outside Capcom would even have a chance at it. I DO remember the rumors of Yoda/Vader/The Apprentice being in Soul Caliber 4 was a test run for a Namco-made Star Wars fighter, but clearly nothing came of that.

If James had wrapped up the episode just after the Pod Racer part it would be perfect because the last two minutes are brutally unfunny.
That and while this might be considered a minor nitpick to everyone else here but for obvious reasons I've gotta shake my fist with rage at that Jango Fett joke.

I would beat it, even. I tried doing that again years later, and I have no idea how I managed it, given how awful and hard it was to try to win one fight.

It's quite possibly the single worst fighting game ever made.
