Before I watch, was this the one with "Mr. Roboto"?

Before I watch, was this the one with "Mr. Roboto"? Yup, concept album with that on it.

Definitely need to watch this, big Styx fan but not really remotely a fan of Mr. Roboto.

I never really looked at the Roboto masks before and yeah... that's some rather blatant racism going on there.

I disagree with Todd on Dennis's singing voice, but then remember he also loathes the version of Hooked On a Feeling most people have even heard of, so I have learned to accept we're not going to see eye to eye on stuff from time to time. Agreed with the racism angle, though. Very Yellow Peril. That, and Kilroy is Here not a very cohesive concept album.

Huh, he didn't even touch on the World War II era graffiti that the term "Kilroy was Here" comes from. I expect a deeper insight to mid-20th Century pop culture references from my music reviewers.

Small nitpick: He mentions that Styx never released another original album. That's not quite true. While Kilroy was the last to feature both Dennis DeYoung and Tommy Shaw together, it wasn't the band's last effort. They had four more records: Two with DeYoung (one of which contained a top five hit) and two with Shaw.
