After reading the Mission Hill thread, I started to remember this show because it was on Adult Swim around the same time as Mission Hill. It was also a WB show that was cancelled after one season. I remember enjoying the show when I watched it awhile back. It had an interesting premise with the show centered around a family who lives in a poor community in the valley, not to mention that the characters were disabled and/or disfigured. I feel like watching this show again, but it seems that the DVD is a bit pricey online. Although I plan to buy it down the road, I think I might have to request it from the library as a branch does have it. I still remember the episode when the youngest boy, Milo, had trouble sleeping and the only way he could sleep is through the noise of his parents having sex.
What are your thoughts on this show?

I always thought it was funny. Adult Swim used to be a lot better with shows like that, Mission Hill and Home Movies.

I remember watching this on Adult Swim around the same time they were airing Mission Hill and Home Movies and just hating it. Baby Blues, while forgettable, was at least watchable. This was just stupid.

I thought the animation was good, and Will Ferrell was excellent as the father, but it never clicked with me.

Great series from a bygone era. The alien episode is my favorite.

I actually watched it when it first aired on the WB. And yet, Adult Swim was better then before it became the Seth MacFarlane funtime hour.

Show was good and Ferrell was funny
The cast of characters were weird but likeable in their own way
Had real funny moments like Helga getting stuck in the sewer, Helga kidnapping Milo, Bob getting new legs and arms after getting his jaw broken

This was just stupid. Baby Blues was watchable?! Baby Blues was a mediocre Simpsons wannabe. It was never gonna be all that successful, and yeah I would forget all about it 10 seconds after the episode ended, but when it ended I never said "what the hell did I just watch and why?".

I regularly quote the French girl saying "My only crime was enthusiasm."
