I think two Royal Rumble matches in the same night is an absolutely terrible idea, and I don't think they have the talent depth for anything more than 10 (and it will probably be at least twenty because why else call up the Riott Squad and Absolution?). A better execution of the idea would be to run an all women's midcard at the Rumble with the only men's matches being the two World title matches and the Rumble (therefore, the Men's Rumble can go in as stacked as possible), and maybe changing one of the B-shows to a second Rumble card featuring a Women's Rumble for a title shot at Summerslam.

Good for the women to getting a royal rumble but that whole segment was complete ass.
Still publicly supporting Moolah they can f*** right off with everything else once they did this.
But also way to completely disregard feuds , stories ...just because the ball collector showed up surprised they did not start singing wing beneath my ring in unison just to send it home how gee golly happy and smiley everyone was.

The match happening is fine but they couldve found other ways to do that damn segment.
Maybe have Absolution on the ramp? People all around the ring selling? Break it up with refs?
Anything other than everyone stopping their fighting and standing in front of eachother before smiling and hugging. I know everyone knows Wrestling is fake but goddamn.

This is a company that turned the Ultimate Warrior into a hero; Stephanie claiming credit for starting this "Revolution" is way down on their list of bullshit to get angry about. Praising Moolah is plenty to get angry about. Among the other shit that happened in that announcement. The Moolah shit is horrible, that we agree on. The other stuff is just corporate BS.

If they bring in people like Beth, Kharma, Eve, Lita, Trish, Molly, Kelly, etc it could be quite special. They need to try and bring in the big women names from the past 15 years to show how important it is and how much of an accolade it will be to win it.
But we'll probably just have Nia win.. and Roman win the men's one... Or hell Roman can win both so Cole can yell about him being the only man to win 2 Rumbles in one night haha.

Jesus tapdancing Christ, what do you want? Steph puts everyone over like crazy, makes a major match and treats the women as equals but because of this strange hatred people have for Steph y'all shit all over it. Seriously, what could be done that would actually work to set this up? You don't just throw it out there like it is meaningless and you need the most eyes on it as possible so what else is there? Vince doesn't want to be on TV, Shane and Bryan are feuding and Angle doesn't matter.
I get this place is complete over seeing the women do anything labled historic for reasons I will never understand but this really seems like bitching for the sake of it.
And f*** Moolah and any attempt to glorify her, I agree with that.

Didn't see the segment itself but everything about the match screams unbelievable disaster that's just going to murder the crowd early. There's a time for a women's Rumble but it's not with the current roster and it's not on the same show as the men's. I'm just gonna see how many of these chicks botch going over the top rope. Even Eva Marie was able to do it right, so no excuses for this bunch.

It wasn't just Stephanie, it's that well, she's treated like this God that not only stops a feud but makes all the Women break Kayfabe at the end and they all start crying and hugging and OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER HISTORY HISTORY HISTORYYYYYY Like this segment could have been done several different ways of better. I didn't see Regal announcing War Games and all the Teams in it start crying and high five-ing and acting like this was HISTORIC, it's just weird and takes you out of the whole moment, especially Steph trying to shill the YES Chant, that was low to me. I'm not hating the match, I'm hating the way they put it over, and I don't really think anyone looked good. Too pandering to me, sorry if that gets you upset.

"Who cares about kayfabe?"
Gee. Why is mainstream wrestling in the toilet?

It'd be so much better / more progressive to NOT have the women break character at every single advancement.

I know to expect Stephanie to be involved, but they didn't have to pour a bucket of cold water over everyone in the process.

It's super cool that they're doing it and I'm excited for the women, but I'm not really excited to actually watch this for a few reasons.
1. Women's battle royals tend to go a bit shit. 2. It means that this show is gonna be like 6 hours long and oh my god I just want to watch the Rumble match, lol.

For the record, in WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2010, you have a women's Royal Rumble in the RTWM mode where it was a 15 woman match (with only 6 women actually shown), not unlike the SmackDown! Rumble in 2004.
Though... That's 8 or 9 awful women to be involved.

Like, I get the mood whiplash of “EVERYBODY’S BRAWLING oh shit, the boss is here for something” and everyone being all sisterly and shit. That was weird. And I get that Steph’s done A LOT of bad over the years, really I do... But it’s almost at the point where she could cure cancer and some would get mad for her not acknowledging cancer’s right to exist. She can’t win... but it’s a situation of her own making.

"Who cares about kayfabe?" Gee. Why is mainstream wrestling in the toilet? This. I get if it's a cool moment and everything but jesus christ, for a face like Bayley the excitement makes sense, but for all the Heels it's just a weird juxaposition that throws the whole thing off, especially when you have Stephanie, who is supposed to be a bitch everyone hates and one of the top heels, acting like the good guy everyone is supposed to love for the announcement all of the sudden, it's just trash presentation.

Sometimes kayfabe takes a backseat to real life or they merge for a moment and this is one of those times.

I do agree that the announcement could’ve been handled better. But ultimately, I’m happy for those ladies. They get a shot at their own version of what is arguably WWE’s signature match. And I think that’s really cool.
