There's something definitely out there and far too many credible sightings to simply dismiss. But the shows are nothing more than ratings grab with nothing to show for it sadly. There's nothing out there. All supposed sightings are either hoaxes or explainable in other ways, mostly the result of bear sightings, which are also the origin of yeti myths. A large primate of the size Bigfoot is reported to be would leave clear and obvious evidence of their existence such as verifiable shit piles, shelters, footprints, post mortem remains, carrion from prey or crop, tree and plant destruction to indicate signs of herbivore feeding, and would require a large enough breeding population to maintain its existence, which could not possibly hide from discovery for this long.

We are Bigfoot. This is Littlefoot: Any questions?

Yep. I would love to see Bigfoot or The Lock Ness Monster be real. But its just too far out there to be likely. Too many hoops for them to be real, no hoops for them to be legends.

If they existed, the minute they went from folklore to species, they're a hundred times less interesting.
As is, there can be the romanticism of myth. Once they became a classified animal, they're just an animal.
It's a moot point, since they are in no way real, but the last thing Bigfoot hunters and such want is to actually find an animal. Outside of the initial discovery, all that $ is then gone.

I do like watching the show. Its entertaining enough for a late saturday night show which you dont have to think and just veg to. I do wonder in the age were everyone has a phone glued to their hands, surely by now something would be filmed.

I mean you don't see people hunting for evidence of platypuses for instance.

Why is it so impossible to believe that an unknown primate could be living in remote wooded areas?
Perhaps we're thinking about how it should exist instead of simply thinking outside of the box. There are a lot of woods out there, caves, and mountains that have yet to be explored so there's no telling what's walking and living out there. It's simply naïve in my opinion to say "Oh, there's nothing out there. It's all just folklore."

It's simply naïve in my opinion to say "Oh, there's nothing out there. It's all just folklore." Because, as I said, you're not just looking for one primate, but a large enough breeding population, who would leave evidence of their existence, and evidence of predation or competition with other known species in the areas they supposedly live in.

It's simply naïve in my opinion to say "Oh, there's nothing out there. It's all just folklore." No more naïve than assuming something is real without evidence. Creatures of the supposed size and nature of Sasquatch would leave an enourmous amount of evidence of their existence, even if we were somehow unable to find the creatures themselves.
