Ruby was iffy in NXT. I guess ok in the ring but her look and lack of character weren't going to transfer to the main roster well.
Then what do we have?
Liv? Ruby has for some reason called her "dangerous".... why? She's inexperienced and not very good in the ring. She was lost in NXT as there just wasn't anything for her. She's a poor womans Carmella. She's nice to look at .... but that's about all I can say about her.
Sarah? She'd done even less on NXT and lost early in the MYC. She's better in the ring but has had 0 development and shouldn't be talking really. She hasn't been put in a good spot.
It feels like they just wanted another similar group for SD and didn't care if it was good. SD was already loaded with heel women.
It's like they asked HHH for NXT women so HHH just gave up ones he didn't care about and wasn't going to use.

A real shame, not many people had the chance to see Ruby Riot as a singles babyface in NXT and she was really good in that role. Somebody thought that bumping her to the main roster and giving her a stable was a promotion but it's possibly going to hurt her because of the two doofuses she got paired with. In that same vein, it sucks to see so many writing off Logan already, largely based off her promos. She had a great match with Mia Yim in the first round of the Mae Young Classic, one of the better matches of the whole tournament in fact, so that already puts her above half the SmackDown roster in terms of ability. But hey, she’s got a funny accent so f*** her off, am I right? Especially since the Accent was something completely new for that one promo... from what little I've seen on her otherwise she has a very slight one.

A huge mess, they should have brought up the iconic duo instead, rathen then turn 3 good babyfaces heel and then bring them up far too early.

Why oh why send up Carmella Jr.? Aliyah was in the same unwanted boat and she spent a little time as a heel. Liv is friggin' horrible.

Ruby is not looking much better than the other 2 right now either. It's clear none of the 3 are very comfortable with a mic.

I think Ruby is one of the best sympathetic face sellers they have, so they naturally turn her heel and give her a dead weight team.

I'm still baffled that someone thought that debuting two trio women stables of randos LITERALLY a day apart was a good idea. They took a solid lead, a green as shit blonde, and a name drawn out of a hat for the third member and threw it against the wall.

It would've been better if they all came together without doing a "takeover" gimmick.
That clean loss must signal the end of them hopefully.
Sarah and Ruby have hope as they can go in the ring. Sarah can improve on the mic and would do a lot better as a face. Ruby is good in the ring and on the mic, but her facial features could hold her back, I hope not, but I can see management not pushing her all that much for her looks. Liv though, boy, she has no business being on the main roster.

The weird part of Sarah Logan's accent is that she is from Jeffersonville, IN and billed from Louisville (Jeffersonville is across the bridge). So really she shouldn't be like someone from Eastern KY or WV.
This whole women's Rumble is destined to be a major trainwreck. First off, there's only a handful of women in WWE that can actually work a lick in the first place. Then add to it the idea of a 30 second interval (at least that's what someone said here?) and it sounds like a rushed mess.

Yeah I liked Sarah on the indies, and I think her limited performances in-ring in WWE have been solid, but as somebody who grew up in SC and now lives in Louisville the gimmick really bothers me. It’s such a nasty stereotype of the South that everyone is basically Bear Grylls meets Deliverance, and that’s not even the majority culture in Louisville, especially.

Having a great match with Mia Yim is not any sort of accomplishment, either. It would actually be more notable if you managed to have a BAD match with Yim.

This stable is terrible. Nothing makes sense. They have literally nothing in common. It's like some goober writer was stuck in his parents house for the weekend and all he had to watch as entertainment was the Season 4 DVD of "Perfect Strangers" his mother got for her 61st birthday. And after a bottle of absinthe and a bag full of oyster crackers, this writer realized that the perfect tag team would be a neurotic bank teller and his cousin from some fictional Mediterranean island. Then after he vomited the oyster crackers, the feeling of his abdomen rejecting his evening's decisions inspired him to put Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan was a three woman faction for Smackdown.

Sure, it hasn't worked out that way for a lot of the NXT talent, but excusing awful promos when there's a dedicated area in the PC to work on them kind of defeats the point of having a developmental program. And yeah, giving her this character with the accent was a terrible creative move, but there's no fixing that apparently.

To be honest, I see threads like this a lot in the first two-three weeks of a debuting stable or Superstar, and yes the criticisms are all usually valid. But it always turns out to be a case of 'wait and see how it turns out' in the end no matter what, if they fail or succeed, the debut is generally a hurdle most Superstars will more than likely navigate over and onto the next gimmick/push/angle. Eventually they either get over or get well endeavored, but if they have talent and potential they will always been given at least time to make something happen in the WWE I feel.
So the Riott Squad currently are rough, this is true. I don't know anything about any of the girls, and I'm pretending not to know anything about Ruby Riott even though I'm an NXT watcher-- on SDLive she's just the Alpha in a group of thuggish girls for all I would know if I'm just watching Smackdown every week. Nothing save her alternative appearance makes her stand out yet, but I like her look definitely and she's always been good-to-great for her part in her matches thus far.
Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan I have no idea what their motivation is for being mean girls, but in time I'm sure they will figure out how to stand out in the shadow of Riott. Liv in particular has an inevitable feud with Carmella that pretty much writes itself, especially whenever they're in the New England region. Logan should avoid the mic and just impress in the ring as the thickest, and most threatening singles competitor of the group in terms of pure strength. Being verbose isn't her strong suit and it will take time to pretty much hide weaknesses while heightening her strengths with WWE main's fans.
The Rumble does everyone involved favors since it can tell a story no better with such high stakes and the "historical" moniker attached on the line. It might be that very "get over or get well endeavored" bar that many of the newbies will face, and I'm sure some NXT callups will be debuting in the Rumble as well.

Why the hell they have Naomi and Charlotte cutting promos when they could use BECKY LYNCH?
Let me guess,accent.
And yeh, this riott squad story is of no interest me and the title scene is currently awful.
