www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLlD3FoPPoQ2:08. Does anyone know why Michael Buffer introduced him as this or when if ever Bryan Adams ever called himself this? Was there plans of repackaging him into a pimp and making him a precursor to the Godfather? Or I guess maybe WWF was planning on making him a pimp before he left and they ended up passing it onto Charles Wright instead. If that's the case I'm sure they would've still called him Crush to continue the trend of still calling him Crush no matter how many drastically different character and look changes he had (Demolition Crush, Kona Crush, Evil Japanese Sympathizer Crush, Jailbird Crush, Biker Crush, Mac Daddy Crush).

My one takeaway from this is the utter shock that Brian Adams ever got in a position to be announced by Buffer.
I wouldn't put too much stock in Buffer's ring announcing, when he couldn't even remember the talents' names.

I'm sure there were other mid-card guys who were introduced by Michael Buffer during that period. It wouldn't surprise me if he introduced guys like Glacier before they got squashed by Goldberg during his WCW Title Run.

Well, since they apparently were paying him to do Thunder main events at least six months into the show's run, we could have Buffer intros for just about anyone.

The Dungeon of Doom always had the best Buffer intros.

Man, Thunder with a crappy main event still seems like such a big deal with that announcement and the production value.

Buffer did intros for everyone, I think the first time I remember was during a match at the Clash of Champions w/Too Cold Scorpio and Barry Windham (pretty good match, btw).

With that kind of pre-match hype they could have easily had Horace Hogan vs Vincent and crowds would have still ended up with the goose bumps. Buffer announcement mashing up with nWo theme my god it doesn't get any better than that. I marked out so hard I didn't even hear him say mac daddy or something.

Considering how he was involved in a number of beat downs, I'd say yes.

The Bret Clarke one is the more famous botch but I was always a fan of the night when Michael Buffer introduced him as just "BRETTTTTTTTTTTTTTT" and never said a last name

That was awesome! As much shit as WCW deservedly got for wasting money, Michael Buffer was worth it.

Well my guess would be that this is a way to try get over someone who nobody in audience gave a shit about.

It was a rib of sorts. Buffer liked to have those bits of things to say about wrestlers during their intros and needed something for Adams. Adams or someone else made it up on the fly as a joke answer and Buffer used it.

I remember a rumor long ago where Buffer was paid by word, so he tried to make his intros as long as he possibly could.

I read they paid him 200k per appearance, which is insane to me.
