I hope it never happens. If they do, is like to see it be like Kenny dying from South Park. It never gets mentioned and they are back together for every show.

Breaking up the New Day is that thing that happens before the Apocalypse.

If managers were still a thing, it’d be a lot easier today.
Have a heel manager convince Kofi/Big E. that he’s being held back and could be a world title contender and you do the split.
Just don’t do The Shield split. God, the never-ending Rollins/Ambrose feud became too much.

I feel like the best, and in some regard the only route to go an amicable split if only because I think both Kofi and Big E. have reached that Ricky Steamboat level of being over that I don't think fans will genuinely boo either of them.
I see them trying to challenge for the Tag Team Championships at least one more time somewhere down the line, failing to regain them and just realizing that they have went as far as they can go, inevitably Kofi or Big E. end up on Raw while the other stays on Smackdown, and if Enzo Amore is still the centerpiece of the Cruiserweight Division(or 205 is still a thing), Xavier Woods would be a natural fit in the division and as Amore's foil.

I don't think they're going to break up, they'll just always be cool with each other and pursue singles gold.

Hey dudes What?I'm going to try to win the World Title Ok, good luckThanks! See you later my friends! This. I don't see why they can't pursue singles titles while maintaining a loose alliance. Not every team has to have this horrible breakup.

I think it would be interesting if two members heelishly turned on the one other member.

Kofi wins MITB. They hold the brief case for a year as a team, start experimenting with singles programs while still being New Day, maybe win the tag belts one more time so all 3 of them have a prize. MITB attempts with the 3 of them a few times over - they all want to bring the WWE/Universal title home and defend it Freebird style.
Last day comes, it's MITB 2019, and they rush out there. Kofi is about to cash in when Big E clonks that boi upside the head, whacks Xavier with the briefcase, knocking both guys out, and cashes in the MITB, winning the WWE title by himself FOR himself.
You could also inverse this with Big E being the winner and Kofi going heel as champion (I kinda prefer it be Kofi, but I think they'll go with Big E because of Vince).

Don't break them up and have them work together, Four Horseman style.

I hope they do something with them beyond the tag titles this year. They have done all there is to do in this division. Treat them like a faction or have a friendly split. Do something different with this cliche of breakups.

I don't think they're going to break up, they'll just always be cool with each other and pursue singles gold. I think it'd actually be very worth them doing this. It'd freshen the tag team division up a bit by pulling New Day out of it, it would allow for them to job without looking weak as a group, whichever ones of them aren't going for the singles championship can just be at ringside; it'd also put over the singles titles they're going for. Does Xavier weigh under 205? Can he try for the cruiserweight belt if they end up on Raw somehow?
