The better question is : Why are they telling him to act exactly like JBL?

WWE loves Corey Graves. I honestly didn't see things going like this when he signed.

I love the guy. Both shows doesn’t make much sense, especially given the turf war bullshit at Survivor Series, but I’ll happily listen to the guy on both.

The answer is "JBL bailed after that Mauro fallout and they still haven't homegrown or hired a replacement." He is good but it makes no sense to have a brand split and then share any announcers. Especially at Survivor Series time, where both brands would presumably be totally exclusive and not share anyone....

I'm not a fan of people like Corey, Renee, Charly and others working both shows personally. I associate Renee with SD and Charly with Raw so I'd keep them on those shows only, and probably just keep Corey on SD with Booker and Cole working Raw.

Can we have him on both shows and Cole, Booker and JBL on none?

I don't ever need to see him paired with Saxton ever again thank you. I don't think *HE* likes it either. You can always tell which ones Vince is screaming at (Cole on RAW, Saxton on SDLive) when their commentary sucks donkey ass.

I still think Graves is a great commentator when he's allowed to do his f***ing job, but yeah, he doesn't need to be on both brands.

In reading a recent article about the whole Vince/Alpha thing, it was stated that Vince has relinquished a lot of his headset duties to Triple H & Michael Cole. Vince is not even at every TV taping now. I'm thinking Graves is on both shows to remain familiar to the people who just watch Raw, while working with Phillips on SmackDown to continue building their chemistry, with Cole producing them. Once Vince goes fully into whatever he's doing with Alpha, I'd imagine Cole is going to move off camera and Phillips and Corey move exclusively to Raw. Edit to add link to Deadspin story on Vince turning producer duties to Hunter & Cole: deadspin.com/xfl-plans-get-more-concrete-as-vince-mcmahon-tries-to-p-1821522729

They should throw a ton of money to Austin Aries and get him to replace Corey on either Raw or Smackdown. In that scenario, you end up in a Randy Savage or Brian Pillman situation. They can be good on commentary, but that's not what they really want to do. They're gonna want to wrestle. So you end up in a situation where you can say no, and they leave to go somewhere that will let them wrestle (Savage), or give in and let them wrestle for you (Pillman). Either way, you still lose a good commentator.
