Arguably the most famous example...Fake Razor Ramon and Fake Diesel. I thought this was more "Vince thought people cheered the gimmick, not the guy"... rather than trying to actually get people to believe it was the same dude as before.

The night after wrestlemania raw crowd is crazy. They boo who would usually get cheered and cheer who would usually get booed. If you take it in the big picture sense, it's actually worse than just "these guys are biazzarro-world every year". The entire year is "Wrestlemania, get a ticket, be part of the most important night of the entire year, the real fans will be there because it's a moment!". So that's the sell. Then a big chunk of that same crowd, who they spend the entire year screaming "Buy a ticket, guys" at, they show up for RAW, and suddenly they are the most out there and weird fans, and they are a punch line the entire night because they, the fans who WWE courts to buy the big price tickets for a a year, are paying for another ticket the next night. It really si a case of "we will beg you for your money, please buy this ticket, you are the best ever", then the ticket is bought and it's "ha, loser! Yeah, you bought the ticket, but we're goign to make fun of you for three hours for not reacting exactly how we want you to".

every time they dismiss the post wrestlemania raw crowd as "unusual" I would certainly call the post WrestleMania 31 crowd bringing up the women’s tag match sex lives and partners as a negative as “unusual”

Back when they used to have Michael Cole tell viewers step by step how to download an app multiple times a night. Their average viewer is half Cole's age and surely more technologically savvy.

How about those giant flash cards with $54.99 & $9.99 in huge font, just in case you didn’t understand what the announcers were talking about.

It’s amazing thinking about the lengths this company goes to show their contempt of their loyal fan base.

It would seem that way, but it is constantly being said by Dave Meltzer that the ratings in recent years show that Raw's average viewer is close to Cole's age. The average age of Raw's audience has apparently skyrocketed in recent years, especially compared to the Attitude Era.

Going by Benoit and Jericho only. They wanted to drop Chris because they thought too many were on the roster for confusion.

Chris Benoit Chris Jericho Christian Isn't this also the reason Shane Helms became The Hurricane and/or Gregory Helms? Didn't want the audience to confuse him for Shane McMahon?

My favourite example of this was them changing The Heartbreakers to The Heart Throbs to avoid confusion with Shawn Michaels. Because WWE fans would really confuse one of the greatest wrestlers of all time with a jobber tag team. I don't know if they have changed since, but on the Bludgeon Brothers's debut the commentators acted like Harper and Rowan were new superstars who had never been in WWE before.

It’s like I’ve heard of this Shawn Michaels guy but is he that one guy who was in all those classic matches or is he two nobodies? I was personally so glad when they changed it, what a relief!

Roman Reigns... just about anything with Roman Reigns these past four years
And depicting any Loud Crowd that actually gives genuine reactions to the product as BIZARRO WORLD, because yeah, that's how I would want to be depicted by a company I want to support and give a genuine opinion on.

Arguably the most famous example...Fake Razor Ramon and Fake Diesel. OT but I would love this to be brought up in his election campaign by an opponent - "Didn't you once impersonate Kevin Nash? How can we trust you!?"

The whole situation between Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice. Sid eliminates Hogan at the Royal Rumble, then Hogan causes Sid to be eliminated. Somehow, Sid is the heel in all of this. Ha, I f***ing despised Hogan because of this.
