Are they pouring sugar and syrup into their tomato sauce? Jesus Christ, their pizza is nasty. You nailed it, the sauce is way too sweet. Everything else is decent for a chain pizza place, at least it was last time I ordered from them (several months ago).

The thing is, with chain pizza places, most everyone will have at least a slightly different flavor experience because franchise owners are in control of distribution for ingredients. Corporate will have a standard that franchisees are supposed to adhere to but a lot of them try to get around those standards in order to save money. The sauce will more than likely change very little but nearly everything else has a chance.

The pepperoni pizza is tasty and I like PJs garlic sauce too , Little Caesars tomato sauce is too salty.

I remember the wings being a little better then, but that may just be because I wasn't paying for them, my boss bought our crew lunch.

I assumed an uplifting out of closet story was in this thread, knowing nothing about the dude prior. Leaving his political ideologies aside other than how extreme he is and how hard he pushes to see that things go his way, he is just a MISERABLE person. He was extremely rude to me the times I met him and he has NO consideration for his employees. He doesn't stop at having no consideration for them, though. He generally treats them like shit, including firing people for odd things or just not liking them(when he can get away with it,) he talks down to them a lot, etc.

Somewhere, Peyton Manning is crying. Himself to sleep, on his HUGE pillow. No wonder the poor bastard hurt his neck...hauling that gargantuan cranium about.

I don't really care about his politics since I thought Papa Johns pizza was already trash. I mean, I live in the land of great local pizzeria pizza anyway (NYC metro area), so chain pizza is something I tend to avoid anyway. But out of the big 3 chain pizza places I've had around here (Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns), Papa Johns is far and away the worst.

Another thing is that he's a pretty big member of the University of Louisville board and was apparently the guy who really pushed for Rick Pitino to be fired in wake of the big NCAA/Adidas scandal.
Somewhere from his castle in the Carpathian Mountains, Rick Pitino is enjoying this news while drinking a glass filled with fresh blood.

That article was in no way biased or self righteous.
I used to work at Papa John's. It wasn't the greatest place to work, but it was far from the worst. I'll always appreciate them giving me a job at a time when I couldn't find one and was applying anywhere between 5 and 20 times a day. I also was impressed with their standard of how to make a pizza considering almost every other place I knew that was a major chain did not use fresh ingredients. I can understand people who aren't a fan of the taste, but to each their own. I'm not much of a fan myself, but I don't equate the taste to dog shit or anything.
I really don't grasp the mentality this guy is scum. I mean Jesus...yeah he's on the other side of the political aisle, but that doesn't make him a terrible person. His comments on the NFL were pretty tame compared to some of the other stuff that came out around the same time. Of all the shit that has occurred at Papa John's in recent years, almost off of it has nothing to do with corporate decisions. A lot of the controversy he has publicly condemned and made attempts to correct.
Until it comes out he's a rapist, murderer, racist, criminal or something else...then I'll refrain from trying to cast him directly in a negative light. Overall I hope this might be a good decision for the direction for the company given how widespread it is and how many people it employs.

Based on accounts I’ve heard, he reminds me of Jared Fogle. Well, minus the pedophilia part. But just has a terribly over inflated opinion of himself.

We used to get pizza from Papa Johns because it was cheaper than Dominos. Then I found a small local takeaway that made homemade pizzas. Fresh made, tastier and... nearly a whole tenner cheaper! Not been back to any of the chain pizza places since.

I refuse to use Papa Johns anymore because he is responsible more than anyone for delivery drivers getting screwed. He went to battle over paying them less than minimum because of their tips, comparing them to wait staff. Yeah only difference is wait staff don't need to pay for a car, insurance, and gas. Plus diners in a restaurant are not paying a delivery charge that does not go to the waiter but makes them think it does causing them to give less of a tip. Time was you could make a decent living off of pizza delivery if you hustled but he ruined that. Rich get richer and screw the poor.

It's almost as if people can't have an opinion these days You know we're literally talking about a guy who said that a group of people shouldn't be expressing their opinions and their bosses should have shut them down? He also blamed their rights, not opinions, for his shitty sales, which caused them to get shitter and bumbled his way into having the company having to tell Nazi's to f*** off, in 2017....

Anyway I havnt looked into who papa john is and I don't really care
