"We can use the established, complex Slade role on the popular CW DC shows where he's already a fan favorite and his actor has expressed wanting to do a spinoff series about him that's sure to succeed. Or we can embargo him from the Arrowverse and keep him locked to a tainted movie universe with an actor who hasn't otherwise touched the role yet." "Choice #2 is obviously the logical one!" Especially stupid because Deathstroke is a terrible choice for the villain of a Batman movie. One, he has almost nothing to do with Batman, two, Batman is the last hero on the planet who needs to bum someone else's villains, and three, the biggest strength of a great many Batman stories is the villain and how they play off him while Deathstroke while a great villain isn't flashy and isn't really an interesting contrast to Bruce. I imagine they'll come up with something cool for him in the Batman film. His fight scenes with Batman in the Arkham games are very epic. But if I am completely honest I don't see them using Deathstroke as the villain for The Batman. Especially considering Reeves has said he wants it to be more of a detective based noir film. My guess is they're going with Penquin, Riddler, or possibly Two-Face.

Yeah, I really don't get why they keep trying to force him as a Bat-villain. Deathstroke is much more heavily tied to Nightwing and Green Arrow than he ever was to Bruce... In fairness, from his very first appearance in New Teen Titans, Deathstroke was conceptually an evil version of Batman right down to the evil butler.

True, but that's what makes him a good Nightwing enemy. Up against Bruce he just falls into the trap where there are a billion evil clones of him and really the only one that does it well is Black Mask because he's the one that's subtle about it.
