Times When Wrestlers Talked About Steroids In Character

Earlier this month I watched Hardcore Heaven and November to Remember 1997 and in one of them (I think the latter), Taz had a confrontation with Brakus. He made a reference to Brakus putting needles in his ass (a common method for injecting steroids).

If you go to WWE Network and watch WCCW 212 (Jan. 18, 1986), Michael Hayes cuts a promo and calls Kerry Von Erich a "steroid freak."

Mike Shaw also accused an opponent of taking steroids during an inteview in Stampede Wrestling, and Hercules supposedly cut a promo in Mid-South once where he admitted he used them.

I remember back during the ROH/CZW feud Eddie Kingston cut a promo on Roderick Strong and Austin Aries saying something like "I don't stick needles in my ass!"

I've made it sound kind of lame but I remember it being very good.

He said that in an in-ring promo and brought a "sample" with him so that Tommy Dreamer, who accused Storm of being on steroids, could have it tested. Dreamer came to the ring, they fought, Storm got DDT'd, and Dreamer poured the "urine" on his face.

Yeah, I remember Storm being proud of that segment, I think it was when he, Dreamer, and Raven were on booking duty, and he came up with most or all of it. I think Dreamer figured he'd throw it at him, but Storm thought it'd get a better reaction if he, the heel, got doused.

I kind of hate shit like that because it's outside the realm of the ring but WWE had Roman on punishment before he left for suspension and for a few weeks after he came back bringing that up so Cena didn't say anything nobody didn't know

However, in saying that he burned Roman on that
