Pretty sure it waas Green Lantern Fan who proposed to his girlfriend on Raw years ago. Anyone that has been around the IWC since say 2000 has a few GLF stories. Most of which have either been linked to or can't be told on FAN.
TBH I have chatted with GLF back when everyone was on AIM,and on a few forums. He is a bit odd but seemed decent. I do know his favorite Green Lantern as of 2008ish is Hal Jordan.
But back to the topic, congrats to Vladimir.

I saw the Green Lantern fan front row at a show that had Scott Hall vs Marty Jannetty on it years ago. He held up this big photo from the Razor / Michaels ladder match. This got Hall’s attention, so Hall got out of the ring and went over to him. The crowd loudly booed this. They were upset this guy was interrupting the show which he’s been known to do. The Green Lantern fan started patting Hall on the stomach. Hall had put on some weight at the time. This got Hall pissed. Hall grabbed him by the back of the head with one hand and pulled down the front of his trunks with the other. I turned away at that moment but some guy yelled out, “I seen it!” Hall cussed him and got back in the ring. The Green Lantern fan was quiet the rest of the night. People should never touch the wrestlers and I was surprised he didn’t know better. I spoke to him once after that at a show. I kept hearing how people say he thinks all the wrestlers are his friends, just because he goes to tons of shows, so I asked him who his friends were from the wrestling business. Just to see what kind of answer I’d get. Surprisingly, he said no one really. He talks to Teddy Hart now and then but that was it.

Good for him. I always assumed he was independently wealthy in order to travel around to WWE shows.

Dare I ask who green lantern fan is Long story short, an entitled asshole of a fan from the mid-00s who seemed to think that he really was part of the show/one of the boys, just because he came to every, and I mean EVERY show. I'm sure there's a more detailed litany against the guy, but I've never heard a positive story about him, not even one. Edit: Actually, just read this Cliff Notes version: www.taimapedia.org/index.php?title=Green_Lantern_FanNice to know Taimapedia is back up so their loltna page is still alive. Anyways congratulations on Vladimir

That is awesome news! I had also always assumed he was already an American citizen based on how often he would attend shows.
I however did not know his real name was Vladimir, I always thought that was just a nickname the internet had come up with for him.

There needs to be a campaign to place him in the HOF.

Vladimir is my favorite super fan, he never tried to be part of the show like Sign Guy and Green Lantern guy, he just wanted to see wrestling. He never tried, but he did get to be part of the show once. Shortly after Piper turned babyface, he was confronted by Orndorff and Race in the ring. Piper picked Vladimir out of the crowd to come into the ring and suggest a partner for Piper. Vladimir chose Hogan, leading to the first time Hogan and Piper tagged. Apparently he is Haitian, now Haitian-American. Hunh, how about that? Never would have guessed. Maybe it was the name swaying my thinking, but I figured he looked Eastern European. Vladimir also got a shout out in WWF Magazine once. I think it was a Informer column. I recall they said his name and how you’d recognize him from being in the crowd at every show.

Also according to Allison Danger (Steve Corino's sister) Green Lantern Fan groped her so she tried to go into the crowd and punch him, maybe that's why a lot of wrestlers hate him.

I helped this same cat to smuggle his camera and lenses into the Meadowlands, NJ arena back in '86. We met Ric Flair as he arrived in a limo.

I always liked spotting Vladimir and the Dude Love lookalike in the crowd in 90s wrestling shows. Didn't know he wasn't a US citizen, but congrates to him on achieving something dear to him none the less.
Always thought the wrestlers recognised and really liked him too. Not just the Piper segment, but I do recall Sid, for example, going to interact with him anytime he saw him.

I remember a picture of him fist bumping Sid accompanying the article.
