Some really great posts in here. I want to watch this now. I've never seen the interview and contract signing www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKu13G91AlU The initial turn. This one's on WWE's channel, so can be embedded. I love the main three performers in this (Tunney's Tunney, don't expect much). Hogan sells being hurt and betrayed. Heenan's just so disrespectful and perfect as the asshole manager, and Andre just seems on a level past Hogan's ability to move. No guilt, no anger, just immovable. Thanks. Hogan seems maybe a little corny here, but I admit I do actually believe him being hurt and betrayed. Heenan is good as always. Correctly brings out the aspects of the match that he has to. But Andre puts this over the top. Amazing presence from him. Good professional performance here. This is wrestling to me.

Yeah, he's corny, though I think it works here, given the era. He also conveyed enough emotion that I could forgive it, and I say that as someone who finds a lot of old school Hogan stuff tiresome. I loved how Bobby just tosses the belt onto the table after demanding a new one be made. Just so obnoxious. But yeah, I agree with you, Andre has a ton of presence. We know now, obviously, how poor his health was, and how much worse it'd become, but you wouldn't know it from looking at him. He carries himself like he is invincible.

Read this title as "Hogan Was the Worst Race Ever" and thought immediately that Hogan would disagree with that.

Compared to Austin(stunned women, alcoholic) and Rock(bullied everyone), he's Judge "Freakin" Reinhold! I don't know who that is.

I've always thought it was interesting that Tunney referred to Andre by his real surname. While it was breaking kayfabe to a certain extent, it also made the whole signing seem more real, more formal and professional.
