I know his reign left a lot to be desired, but why not.

Swagger won the World title not the WWE Title. The two odd ones for the WWE title history are Sheamus and Alberto. All the other winners are fairly succefull stars with tons of talent Sheamus is pretty successful, so not sure he is ultimately in the same grouping (also ADR is in a different way). Jinder will always be the outlier. He failed miserably as a top heel and even worse as a top face. He only found some success recently as a tag team. Sure ADR and Sheamus have the kayfabe accolades, but none of the crowd cared

When he retires this will be his accomplishment list:
2x WWE Champion (Don't kid yourself, if you don't think they will try it again) 5x United States Champion (Going with the foreign heel route with the US Title) 3x WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champion (With Drew McIntyre) 3x Intercontinental Champion 2021 WWE Network King of the Ring
He will get in.

It is funny, because they slapped that belt on him, accomplishment wise there is only a few people in the history of the business now ahead of him. Being WWE Champion is still s pretty elite club. But, as far as being responsible for any memorable moments or matches, he has 0.

Maybe in twenty years when the stench he left becomes somewhat forgotten.
Once you let Koko then anyone can get in really.

At least let industry writers like Apter, Meltzer, Johnson, Pollock, Ryder, etc... Have a vote like Baseball. Instead of just McMahon deciding on who gets in. That's like if the commission in baseball only had a say.

I heard he was very dedicated, was in the first RAW match, the piledriver, etc. In a time that is more difficult to work and to make a living. Jinder isn't even the first Indian World Champion

Let's just set aside the fact that the decision for entry is entirely political and we've got guys like Drew Carey who got in for less time than he was at the podium for the HoF speech. He's only 31, and easily has another decade in him as long as he doesn't have a career-ending injury. A lot of good can turn things around in a short amount of time.

But, as far as being responsible for any memorable moments or matches, he has 0. He's actually in an even more elite club than that. He is in a club that, other than Jinder, only includes the following people: Superstar Billy Graham, Sid Eudy, Sgt. Slaughter, Buddy Rogers, Stan Stasiak and Ivan Koloff. You could also debatably include Brock Lesnar. That club? WWE/WWF/WWWF talents who have ONLY EVER held the WWE Championship in WWE. If you expand to include people who've only been world champions, you can include Brock and maybe one or two others (Hogan missed out due to a single tag reign with Edge). Look at that list of names and weep, people. Graham, Sid, Slaughter, Rogers, Stasiak, Koloff, Lesnar... Jinder.

Since he's been a WWE Champion, odds are he will be in the Hall Of Fame. Only a few that have been Champion aren't in, and so far he's won the title once and held it for 170 days. Names like Stan Stasiak and Ivan Koloff will never go in because they are true transitional champions. CM Punk may never go in because of the bridge he burnt down. Sid Vicious should be in, etc. So does Jinder stand a chance? Koloff was a top heel in the WWWF before and after holding the belt. He also had a successful career in other territories. He isn't in the Hall of Fame because for decades he was in the Bruno camp. In 2013 when they finally inducted Sammartino and Backlund, it opened the door for Koloff. However by 2015, he was suing WWE with a couple of others. Now he is dead and will have to wait. Stasiak also had a fine career outside of the WWE. Though his main problem is that he died in the 1990s. If the Hall was open in 2001, he would probably would have been inducted as Shawn was employed by WWE at the time. Now he'll probably get in via the legacy wing because of his age. As for Jinder, he'll get in if he is on good terms with the company when the time comes. While the championship is diminished because there are two of them, it still means something for a wrestler to be at the top of the mountain.

If he stays in the good graces of the WWE he 100% is going to the HOF. He fits one of the criteria . That being the WWE tends to bend ovr backwards to make the HOF seem more diverse and less monochromatic.
