Why?
No seriously, why?
What was the point of splitting up American Alpha again when they've both been plastered with two other dudes in two different tag teams?? I get it was probably an audible after Dean got hurt but... THAT'S THE BEST YOU CAN DO??
It was too much to have a BAR/Revival Match huh?? Jeezus...
Also this isn't gonna get Jordan over, it's gonna make Rollins go Ice Cold...

They were always going to end the Christmas Raw on a face standing tall, even if it's a face no one in the world actually likes. I'm sure it's really just leading to transitioning the belts to the Revival within the next month or so, particularly given Sheamus isn't exactly safe to have a belt on.

As much as I want to like Jason Jordan, you have to admit, American Alpha was the only thing he had going for him in his career and that was due to Chad Gable doing the lion's share with the charisma and ability. Jordan looked good in that team just because he didn't have to do a whole lot other than do a hot tag. However, if I have to nit-pick... he always looked good in the hot tag up until his corner shoulder-tackle that looked less like a vicious attack and more like he stumbled and fell into his opponent at the end.
Jordan is a charisma vacuum and, I agree, there is far more likelihood that this will pull Seth Rollins down way more than it'll build Jordan up. Really, the only thing that could save it is for, once Ambrose returns, to do an absolute vicious heel turn and destroy both of them to the point where it needs to go to a blood feud between Rollins and Ambrose with Jordan as the sacrificial lamb. And that's just because it'll be a good feud to get people to forget about this pairing.

Presumably, the plan was going to be Dean/Seth vs. The Bar in this title match tonight, but the Ambrose injury obviously meant a change in plans.

I think it makes more sense to turn Jordan heel since he is the one with this whole nepotism storyline, and seems unworthy of the opportunities he is being given. The charisma thing is an issue, but maybe he will be able to turn it around as a heel?

Highly doubt they're keeping the belts that long, especially if Dean is out possibly Nine Months Even though Ambrose won't be out for that long I'm saying he'll wreck them just because. Rollins for what happened, teaming with Jordan and their history and Jordan for annoying him all those months. You know how they always have a big heel destroy someone to make them look strong? We know who'll be there to propel the Ambrose/Rollins feud. Jordan's gonna be a sacrifice and that's even if he's a heel.

He only eventually got it together because he was teamed with Chad Gable who basically oozed charisma.

I think it's great.
Removing the hot potato title changes of late from consideration, I'm still working on the basis that they're very slowly turning Jordan and making him an asshole.
Rollins himself even looked a bit baffled when they won the titles. I think this could be interesting to follow along with. I often like the tag team that hates each other thing.

I don't see why Rollins shouldn't just walk out and leave JJ to the lions in their first title defense, unless Kurt threatens him.

It was too much to have a BAR/Revival Match huh?? Jeezus... I cannot imagine the silence that match would generate. Here's the thing, both teams are good and the match would be fantastic, you can't deny it'd be a good old fashioned knock em down drag em out match that could work really well. With build of course. Which is what I wanted, but there are a few factors into that. The current issue is The Revival have lost all their momentum, really clearly after their last match as well have put on a little injury weight, Dash especially, and overall just need to refind their footing. The ill timed injuries basically having their total WWE Runtime since the RAW after mania being under a month says it all, it's really been some of the worst luck. It's quite obvious the reason The Bar have been tag champions so long is because Revival got hurt, they were meant to have a tag title run by now coming in and injuring New Day like they did, Papa Shango just said NO.
