Maybe since the holidays are over, but then again, we have new year's eve and day where people just like to drink. Lately, I found more entertainment staying in than going out, but that's probably due to financials.
Anyone else on the same wave length as me?

Yeah, I've got $5,000 of credit card debt, yet I still drop a 20 on lunch or lottery tickets whenever I want. Though, I've always been an introvert, not just because of finances. I don't drink or like to go to bars or clubs, so it's like, there's nowhere in my area I can think of to basically 'go for fun'. No more arcades in the area. I'd shop, but I've already got too much crap, so, yeah.

I get paid once a month. Normally by the last week of the month I got maybe 40 bucks left. This month I am down to 3 bucks in singles and maybe 2 bucks in change.

I have emergency money for when im broke. As I love budgeting (yes you read that right) Im usually good for money. I got emergency money also. For stuff like needing a new tire,or getting a new battery for my car. But I try my best to not use the emergency money unless I have to. I am ok at saving money. I put 50 bucks a month into a savings account. I would put more but between rent, bills, the price of gas going up and other things I can't spare more than 50 bucks.

Yes and no. I never have less than three months worth of living money in my bank account should I ever find myself unemployed, but the fact that it's only three months worth bothers me.

Not really. I usually find myself working far too much to be able to make plans to do something where I’d be spending any of it. I’m rarely able to go to wrestling shows anymore. I’ll catch a movie here and there. Spending a significant amount of time with my girlfriend has become more difficult lately. That’s kind of stressful for us but one else is paying my bills and I can’t just do whatever I want whenever I want to. It’s nice to have the bills paid and be able to eat but I’d like to have time for more fun stuff. I wish I was independently wealthy. I’d never be bored. I’ll probably continue to be a slave to the grind until I’m too old to really enjoy my free time. Woohoo!

I'm typically really good about saving money, but sometimes I do feel guilty about buying something, even if I know I needed it. For example, I bought a new phone the other day (Moto E4 if anyone's curious) and was like "Was that a good idea?" after leaving the store. I dunno, I'm weird.
By the by, Moto E4 is a solid phone if anyone wants something prepaid.

In 2012, I lost my job and it took me a year to find a new one. Used up pretty much all of my savings and new job paid 30% less. In 2014, I had a secondary source of income cut in half.
According to the State of California, we are not "low income". We are "very low income". We qualify for food stamps but don't get them because dealing with Social Services is such a monstrous pain in the ass.
I buy my clothes from thrift stores and shoes from Big 5's $20 sales. I brown bag my lunch every damn day. I meant to buy a new pair of glasses last January but never managed to scrape together the hundred bucks or so I need for them. I don't think my car's gas tank has been more than half full in over a year.
I have not been financially comfortable in over five years and I don't see things changing any time soon.

Being unemployed, owing health bills, and stuck selling plasma makes you miserable.

Not that it makes you feel any better. But Michael Jackson shopped at thrift stores and wore the same worn down shoes he performed in whenever he was in public. Of course everyone is different but if something horrible happened you would adapt very well. Most people look down on places like the Salvation Army, thrift stores, and Big 5's so the fact that you're not one of those people says a lot about you as a human being.

I'm currently on disability. Finding a job is kind of hard for me. Medical issues cause my medicine to cost so much I wouldn't be able to afford it without Medicare. Without Disability I don't get the Medicare. Disability doesn't give me nowhere near enough to live on. If it wasn't for living at my Dad's rent free, I wouldn't be able to make it.
At the same time, I still have huge bills to pay off on some of the medical issues. Freaking Ambulance ride is still sitting at over 2,000 dollars.

Always. I’m not great with money and I don’t make enough of it. I think it’s my number one goal for the new year to be more financially responsible. It’s not like I blow it on crap I don’t need, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink besides going out with coworkers once a month. I eat out to much, I was doing alright untill I had to buy a new car. Now I’m back paycheck to paycheck. I want to be more responsible but at the same time i would go crazy if I could not enjoy simple things like movies, treating my son with a Funko Pop, or do some nice things for the holidays. But sometime it’s like oil change, hair cut or a new pair of pants... pick one.
