He's like Shelton. I can't deny either one are solid in the ring, but there is that missing intangible that stops me from enjoying their work.

He wouldn't be his current face gimmick on the main roster, but in NXT he would have been mostly the same.
Glorious was his ending catchphrase/match taunt and not the entire basis of his character, he was the better than you smarmy douchebag heel in NXT.

More trash than he is now. I've learned these past few years is never listen to FAN's majority opinion regarding wrestlers. Bobby Roode is worse than one of those 3 Nicki tracks she dropped months ago. Look at the bright side, the industry is pushing for a feud between her and Cardi B and it’s working.

I see it happening when Cardi drops her album whenever that'll be. Her new single is already popping off.

Helps that she still ghetto asf and popular while Nikki flipped her whole style for the mainstream

Wait hasn't the majority opinion been that his matches have been really underwhelming and that he's not working well as a face? Also maybe I'm weird but ignoring the majority of peoples opinion on an open forum must take out the majority of the whole point of being on a forum wouldn't it?

Apart from Beer Money I think the guy has been boring his whole career.

He would've been the serious Dis Bizness no nonsense vet mixed with the Angry Dad from Ren and Stimpy.
Pretty much what he did during his final years in tna.

I actually think it would have been possibly better for him at least in terms of his ceiling. He definitely rose through NXT and the main roster a lot faster thanks to it. But I think it has made his character quite thin and he really hasn't been able to break out as a big player because of it (in addition to the usual 50/50 booking of main roster death). Removing it would have made him rely more on the character work that led to his fantastic TNA heel run and it could have given him a chance at being a top player. Now, not everyone can be that and he still might not have reached it so he might be better off for it but I definitely see it as limiting right now.

The only reason he is a face is because he's on Smackdown and they are desperate for any face that isn't in a tag team.

Are you ok with listening to fans majority opinion when they're already in the WWE then? Just trying to make sense of your post because it seems silly to ignore the majority of people on an open forum.

Apart from his 2012 character in TNA he has always been stale as shit as a singles guy. He is one of those guys who looks like a main eventer until you see him in action/cut a promo. Solid in the ring but that’s about it.
