They did a similar spot the day before(with Bayley) and Paige was perfectly fine. I'm guessing the stiffness of Sasha's kick was what caused Paige's head to snap back(sort of like a whiplash effect).

Yeah. That kick wouldn't have reasonably caused that level of injury to a spine in good shape.

She coulda just been punch drunk too.
Her hair is in the way, but she could have hit her head on the mat, which could have had her in a “lights on, no one at home” situation.
Like a fighter who gets knocked down and tries to stand back up, but can’t due to spaghetti legs.
Not saying it's what happened. Just an alternative to the “no feeling in her limbs” thoughts.

It looks like Sasha hit a bit higher which might've been part of it. Though either way seems like a pretty routine spot no one's really in the wrong on.

Fan reports have stated that it was a botched kick to the face by Sasha due to miscommunication. Botched kick you say??? Someone please beckon triple H, and notify Bret Hart as well. Bret would be torn between bringing up the injury that ended his career and taking note of all the boners Sasha and Paige give him.

One things for sure, Paige is gonna be on a short leash with injuries given her history, might be a Corey Graves situation where they might be forced to retire her at least from competing in their ring. But we can write this off as a freak accident for now...

Seeing the footage, it reminds me of Sting's injury. An impact in a similar location followed by seemingly losing strength / feeling in the limbs.

And yet she's completely full of herself. Four Time RAW Women's Champion Successful Defenses: 0 Oh Christ is this actually true? Has Sasha never retained the title?

It could be as simple as a back spasm, especially as she's getting back into ring shape, your body reacts differently when you're working off the rust.
Given the stringency of WWE's checks, I can't see Paige being allowed back in in the ring if she was one stiff kick to the back away from permanent injury. It seems more likely it was either a spasm, or she got knocked bandy by whiplash.

PAIGE INJURY UPDATE by Mike Johnson @ 2:19 PM on 1/1/2018
Paige is backstage at Raw in Miami, but the word making the rounds backstage is that she has not yet been cleared to return to the ring.
Paige was injured wrestling at the Nassau Coliseum last Wednesday during a six woman tag when Sasha Banks nailed her from behind with a kick to the upper back. The belief is that Banks may have accidentally kicked her a little high. Paige went down and suffered what is believed to be a stinger before being walked out.
WWE pulled her from the ring and sent her home as a precautionary measure.

See? Just a stinger, she'll be fine. You really need to stop acting like this situation is cut and dry, and everyone should move on. Paige was obviously injured and people want to know why/how it happened and what this means for not only her future, but the future of the Rumble and entire women's division. There is plenty of room for discussion moving forward

Would hate to see her forced out like Graves after just getting back.
