Just a topic for discussion/fantasy booking. I saw an article talking about who might be leaving WWE in 2018, among them was Balor. I don't necessarily see it happening, but it certainly could. So let's say he does leave, and Gallows and Anderson get sick of it and leave with him. They make their triumphant return to NJPW and the Bullet Club. But rather than just joining back in, they want to be the leaders, they are the real Bullet Club. Awesome or would this just "nWo" the whole Bullet Club by watering it down too much?

A feud between the real Bullet Club and The Elite would be cool.
I don't think they ever got along with the Young Bucks and Omega in real life, Gallows and Karl loved getting drunk with the Samoan contingent Devitt also liked hanging out with the sponsors, The Elite never went out with them apparently.

Can't say I've ever heard any accounts of Anderson/Gallows and the Bucks not getting along; maybe they're not 100% BFFs due to not hanging out as much post-shows, but they've always seemed to be on really good terms. Anyway, in a world where Balor/Anderson/Gallows returned, that's when I'd consider pulling the trigger (no pun intended) on splitting The Elite away from Bullet Club. It's tough to split them now because the combination of their personalities and the t-shirt designs for BC means the insane amount of sales they've been doing, but getting guys like the OG members back into the fold would make that a safer move: Bullet Club merch would still move in big numbers, and now you could fully embrace a babyface Omega. That said, yeah, I don't see it happening, either.

That said, yeah, I don't see it happening, either. It's just my opinion and they probably were always cordial, it's just that it gave me weird vibes when Gallows and Anderson were doing something with The Elite be it during a match or filming something for Gallows's show Talking Shop, I always got the feeling like the Bucks didn't really fit the original Bullet Club. Omega in my opinion wasn't even supposed to be in BC, if you check out his original press conference for New Japan when asked if he wanted to be member of the faction, he said that he didn't wanted to. Omega also at the beginning looked out of place in Bullet Club. It's said to say this but Bullet Club needs the Elite more than the Elite needs Bullet Club. Even if Devitt along with Gallows and Anderson never return to NJPW, I wish they would continue to tease dissension with Tama Tonga and The Elite. I think the Samoan contingent isn't happy that the Elite runs BC and gets new members in whenever they want to like Page and Scurril, and originally BC was a conformed by best friends, that Dynamic changed forever when The Elite became popular, like Tama and Fale became the nWo b team of the faction they help to create.

I would definitely look at splintering the group off, not only for the sake of freshening things up and keeping the group from bloating too much, but because New Japan could use another face-leaning faction right now to help spread out how the booking patterns work, as right now it's BC, LIJ, and Suzuki-Gun on one side, with CHAOS and the Seki-gun on the other. The Elite splintering off would help even things up a little bit and make for a lot of fresh things to do even after the inevitable Elite/BC feuds.

Concerning Kenny's press conference when he first signed full-time, I'm pretty certain that was all kayfabe to keep his joining BC as their top junior a surprise. Regardless of what happens with BC, I think it's pretty safe to say that 2018 is going to see some shaking up of the faction scene in NJPW. LIJ is probably going to continue moving a bit more toward face status (or at least remain tweener but lean face), Jay White remains a wild card who might either join a heel faction or make one of his own, Suzuki-Gun is due for a change some time in the near future just given Minoru's age, and while this is just a personal hunch I think there might finally be a bit of a shakeup in CHAOS soon. Again, with BC there's the heavy merch and international presence factor to keep in mind, but I'm definitely interested in seeing things shift a bit once the landscape of 2018 starts to take shape at New Years Dash. Also think something could shift a bit if/when the US territory really gets going, as well.

I can see a situation where LIJ remains a tweener-leaning-heel kind of group that plays to the actual core of what the group is supposed to be, while something led by Kenny becomes a tweener-leaning-face force. It makes a bit more sense to me that way; keeps Naito doing what got him over and not compromising it to lean into face territory while still keeping him appealing to the audience, while Kenny as a bit more face-ish can form a good basis to push their international expansions further.
