This is the first I’ve heard of Flash being disliked.
I mean, I’m sure he was stiff as hell, but I’ve never heard anybody speak ill of him.

You know the phrase "keyboard warriors" when you see it used here.

I don't get it. He dropped Chavo pretty bad from that pic. Essentially Chavo complains about Norton recklessly almost hurting him, so now Norton wants to intentionally hurt him. Norton's answer to brute manhandling is more brute manhandling.

I can't see the footage to judge on mobile but this is the Chavo who has picked fights based on ancient history and the only reason he's caused any buzz post WWE is bitching and whining about well liked guys.
Norton and I were casual acquaintances in the past. He's a super nice guy, friendly and down to earth. He gets fired up and aggressive when people act like douche though (see the Hall story from Jericho's first book).
I'll comment further when I see it but I'm veryou inclined towards Flash here.

Somewhere in the west coast, Chavo Guerrero just shit himself.
Chavito unfortunately now has to be careful when choosing which conventions he's gonna be in.

Yeah, no one's had anything to say about Lucha Underground, which he has been part of from the beginning in an on-air and off air capacity. Kidding aside, I'm curious if any other wrestlers have Chavo's stance on it. Working stiff is something some guys expect or even seem to desire, but if that's not what you signed on for, and you're too low on the totem pole to make waves about it, that's probably kind of a shitty situation. For instance, job guys apparently seeing they were scheduled against Vader for some shows and just leaving instead of wrestling him.

I remember watching this match. Norton gave Chavo nothing, no selling all his offense and making him look like a jobber which is what I think Chavo's main beef with working with him was along with him being stiff. If you watch Norton matches he really didn't like selling and he no sold even more in this match as I guess he probably figured it wouldn't be believable for a small guy like Chavo to get any offense against him. On the other hand I can see why Chavo would be upset as it did make him look bad. Don't know about Chavo but going by interviews I've heard Norton seems like a like a nice guy and I don't recall any other wrestlers saying anything bad about him. I definitely remember Daniel Bryan really putting him over big in his book as being really cool and helpful to him when he was a younger guy wrestling in Japan. Jericho spoke fondly of him too if I remember. There are wrestlers who have reputations for being real cool outside the ring but being hard to deal with when it comes to the business side, so I guess maybe he's one of those guys who falls into that category.

I think the match was meant to be a squash as Chavo was lower on the card than Norton was at that point, Chavo went after the leg a bit and got a couple of moves in before Norton shut him down for the powerbomb win which didn't look that bad,IMO. It's on the March 17, 1997 edition of Nitro.

That's the thing though, before the feud with Eddie, Chavo was a jobber. Norton was booked for a while a dominate badass when he first joined the NWO which is at this point against low card guys, only Main Eventers guys Norton was really selling at this time. Even pre NWO Norton had the tough guy reputation.

Chaco is alright, but if his last name wasn’t Guerrero he would have disappeared years ago.

I’ve always heard Scott Norton worked stiff. I heard the same about Ice Train. I was told by someone in WCW during that time that the two of them were put together as a tag team as a rib because of how similar they were in build and their tendencies to work stiff.

Chavo is one of the few wrestlers I have a legitimate dislike of. Funny thing is If you meet him in person, he is a very nice personable guy. I had a nice conversation with him when I met him in Orlando
