Scott Rechsteiner defeats the Great Wojo for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. WWA was what was left of Dick the Bruiser's Indianapolis promotion, having already shut down once and only a couple of years from doing so permanently. Scott was 24 at the time and had been in the business less than half a year.
A somewhat odd match. Wojo just squashes Scott for an eternity, then Steiner has a brief comeback to get all of his spots in, then back to the squash until Steiner has a last-minute moment of strength and quick thinking.
Oh, this happened in August 1986. So far as Wikipedia knows, big brother Rick - the one who had a solid midcard-climbing-up gig going when Scott was breaking in - wouldn't win his first title until nearly a year afterward, when he and Sting won the UWF tag titles.

It's actually amazing to see how many greats held the WWA title before 1982. Then there's a massive drop off in talent. Wojo likely had the title for so long since Vince or anyone else wasn't interested in him.
