That sucks. Jazzy was definitely a superstar in that tournament and could be a good get for the women's division. I also need some more Piper Niven please and thanks.

The thing is, though, most of the talents they probably DO want to sign (your Storms, your Vipers, your Lee Rays etc) are hindered by the fact they’re international and probably have to go through long visa times to be able to wrestle in America on a consistent basis. We forget, they only JUST signed Fabian Eichner this year and he was in the CWC last summer. Since most of the American talent were already signed, that leaves Garrett, LaRae, Blanchard, Ellering and Yim who some may sign (Yim lives nearby and hangs with Baszler a lot, Blanchard seems a dead cert) and some don’t need it right now (LaRae probably didn’t want the stigma of being there because of Gargano, the Hot Topic deal probably helps longer term). I also think a lot of them looked at 205 Live, the booking of women in 2017 and the up in the air status of the UK division and want to see where things go since, apparently, they don’t know what’s going on either. I get there's a lot of here-and-there problems to slow down some of the international names, but the fact there hasn't even been some rumbling of steps being taken, of interest, of someone even capping off bookings past a certain date, while everyone keeps moving on their own things--I don't know if LaRae would have gone for the Hot Topic deal, which probably wasn't in the works for too long before it was announced, if she'd been given a contract, for instance--does seem like the tournament ended up serving as a coming out party for Kairi and not much else. I get you, yeah. At the same time, there is an argument to be made when they wanted to use some of those talents to put over the established ones rather than actually sign them full time because of those commitments. I mean, Storm, Lee Ray and Viper are in Japan a lot and I know for a fact Viper’s booked for a show in May so that probably rules her out for any surprise cameos but you’re right, there hasn’t really been much since the not signed talent are still doing bookings. Time frame wise, too, we didn’t hear anything about anyone being signed from the CWC until the promos for the crusierweight division came out since we had no idea about the status of guys like Kendrick, Gulak and Gallagher and the only people for sure were Metallik and Perkins.
