If I had any faith in the writers, I'd predict that this is a ruse to expose the limits of KO and Sami's friendship. If only one can get the title, then they'll be bickering more than working together. Think King of the Ring 2000.
Of course, I have no faith in the writers, so this is likely just a random ass heel turn that fell on its face.

Can't wait until El Generico shows up and beats the crap out of Sami and KO, then turns and beats up AJ. And then, Sami and KO look on, as El Generico pulls his mask off to reveal that, after all these years... {Spoiler} We all know it would just turn out to be Suicide under there.

He found a way to cause a split in the KO/Sami friendship since they cannot be co-champion and did it without playing favorites like Shane did. I like it. Though I am dreading Shane and Bryan against Owens and Sami at WM. Why? That match sounds tits. It's face Shane though, WWE would book it as he wins the match for his team, and outshines everybody else.

I'm thinking that Shane adds himself to the match as AJ's tag partner. The sides are even, but now AJ can lose the title without getting pinned, and he and Shane aren't on great terms

Oh no, I'm not saying the title would change hands, I'm just saying that would be the story going into the match.

I'm enjoying the storyline though because it's giving Daniel Bryan something different to do. Unpredictable, rash decision making Bryan is gold.
