1. f*** Kamoshida. 2. This game's style is on some Kanye West Good Life type shit. Amazing all the way through. This game should be winning the stylish award of every game publication this year. 3. The characters and story in general is so great you really feel for these characters. It's not a game where they give you some guys and you might really love one by the end of the game, you really feel for them due to how it's written. If you don't love em, you f***ing hate em. 4. There's been numerous times where my anxiety was acting up regarding this game. There's been points where I waited to press a button due to what shit might happen. One example is (no spoilers) when a character's about to get caught doing something in the middle of the game and it's something we've seen all the time in fiction. I literally had to walk outta the room before coming back lmao. I was on the edge of my seat. 5. This game is dark as hell. I knew it was dark whenever you find out why your guy's in his current situation but it ramps up immediately. Goes from abuse to deaths to all sorts of shit. I knew this shit was serious when that moment hits in that first arc. YOU KNOW what moment I'm talking about. 6. You really feel like a badass in this game. When a character starts getting pissed off, when that voice hits and then that music hits? You feel like you're unstoppable. You feel like Snoop when he said "1, 2, 3 and to the 4-" lol. 7. This game is long which isn't a bad thing to me but I will say that they need to find better ways to manage the time in the next one. Morgana stopping me from doing shit when I'm trying to get my stats up is a pain. If you miss hanging out with someone there's times where you gotta wait days to see them again. 8. This is the only rpg where I don't feel like I've been grinding through fights. I level up in acceptable ways and the majority of the time I'm above the average level of others. You grind through social stats but a great amount of time there's a story implication that comes into that and it's over before you know it which I love. 9. I actually want to play all the characters unlike other rpgs. I switch em out, make sure they're all on the same level, everyone gets a piece. and finally 10. As someone who creates, this game's music has inspired me more than you know. So f***ing damn good I love every piece of music. Amazing game. I'll see it through until the end.

I thought it was great. My only issue was that it was way too long. I was practically begging for it be over by the end.

Here's the important question though; who'd you romance?

I completed it a few days ago. Great game.
My only flaw was that it's too long. I won't post spoilers but I felt the game should have been wrapped up at one of the palaces rather than continuing for another 10 hours or so. It got to the point where I was rushing to get it over with.
I like the fact you don't need to grind. Hate level grinding but P5 takes a western approach where you level up enough playing through bthe regular game and side quests.

Best game this year. It's really like my dream game, I could write about it for hours but I don't wanna take up too much time haha. Play Persona 4 Golden after you finish!

As someone who creates, this game's music has inspired me more than you know. So f***ing damn good I love every piece of music. Amazing game. I'll see it through until the end. In order: 1. If you think Kamoshida is one bad sumbitch, get ready. Though even by the end, Kamoshida is a memorably slimy little prick. 2. The Persona games have always nailed the presentation, but 5 went WAY above and beyond. 3. Without namedropping people, there were a few people by the end of the game that, I kindof fell out with or just never cared for once the Palace that focused on them ended. Some of them I cared about as I did their social link/confidant stuff, but there are some you can just leave to their own devices and they'll just "be there". 4. There's only one part where my anxiety was high because I thought I totally screwed something up and couldn't undo it. I dare not spoil it for anyone who's not made it there, nor for you since I'm not sure how far "a good ways" is by your standards. 5. It totally is. It's uncomfortable at times, but other times I think it's a little too much, and I mean more in a "got numb to it" way than "disturbed". I know Mementos was supposed to be all dark and gringy, but it just got dull eventually. 6. Without spoiling which character, there was an exception to that for me. One of them unlocked their Persona, but my party was low on health, so the only thought in my head through the entire scene was "please no fight, please no fight" and eventually "OK, once this fight starts, heal everyone, don't f***ing forget, heal everyone, first thing". 7. Without spoiling who (and also because off the top of my head I don't remember) there is one confidant that, when it reaches a high enough point, can give you an extra period to do something in the day. It's one of the minor characters (i.e. not a Phantom Thief or someone integral to the plot), I'll leave it at that. Had I known about it at the start of the game, I'd have pursued that one right away. 8. Keeping my trap shut on this one... 9. It depends. Ryuji and Yusuke are the heaviest physical hitters in the whole game so I'd swap between them (and only rarely sitting them both down simultaneously), but I'd often stick with Yusuke as I liked Goemon over Captain Kidd. And Ann I almost never used once I got Makoto, sad to say. I also always had either Makoto or Morgana for healing and attacking. Morgana was a better when I needed someone as a healer exclusively but Makoto was more well-rounded with good enough heals to play that role when needed...in fact my most frequent team would likely be Yusuke, Morgana, Joker and Makoto. 10. I'm sure Nier; Automata's music is good, but this one not winning Best Soundtrack at The Game Awards awhile back flabbergasted me.

I thought it was great. My only issue was that it was way too long. I was practically begging for it be over by the end. Atlus really don't seem to do short games, whereas they could pretty easily get away with it, especially with the multiple choices that would have it ripe for replay value as it is.

Quite frankly, all you've described is me in Persona 3. And all I see in Persona 5 is Persona 3 amped to 11. Which is great.

I downloaded Persona 3 on the PS3 a few years ago. I dug it ,though I never finished it. Might check this one out as I'm slowly getting back into games after a year or 2 of disinterest.
On the subject of Atlus, I know Persona is their bread and butter, but would it hurt to make a new Devil Summoner game (or perhaps Nocturne)? I loved those 2 PS2 games...

I also romanced Ann, surprised she's unpopular lol. I also romanced the teacher. Ann is more unpopular than Makoto and Futaba more so because she's just bland I mean when you compare her personal journey (when you are able to meet them) to theirs it's like night and day I feel Makoto and Futaba continue to grow as the game goes on while Ann sort of just fades off and her struggle with Kamoshida sort of gets lost in the story

Futaba was cool, if I play again I'd romance her. First play through I didn't know her location and once I did find it, didn't really have long enough to level her confident up high.

Makoto story opens up well and you get to learn a lot more about her which draws you closer to her as compared to the "steel bitch" they portrayed her as in the beginning Futaba was quirky and different which added to the fun of her character. Haru was introduced to late in the game for me to care about her. I'm mostly staying cool with her to see if I get SP Perks but her gardening is damn useful for SP along with having Kawakami do Curry or Coffee for you at night In regards to other romances like Kawakami, Hifumi, and Tae, they were cool but not really interested in them. Their perks at Level 10 make it worth the journey tho so they are options

I've got no problem with Ann. I was originally gonna romance her but then Makoto got more screen time so I switched to her instead.
