Whatever, screw it, I'll just ask the questions. I'm not referring to anything particular thing when asking these, I'm just asking generally. Question one - Why do people spread misinformation/ignorant claims about things/people when there are enough sources out there that prove them wrong? Question two (let's not break the rules when answering this) - Is it illegal to follow pornstars on Twitter? Is the viewing of pornographic material immoral? Question three (this question was going to be a possible followup to my 'should sex be outlawed' thread, but since that didn't go well...anyway, let's not break the forum rules with answering this) - Should drinking alcohol be outlawed? 1. It's been shown in studies that when people have beliefs, they stick to them. If you show them evidence they're wrong, a large percentage of people will stick to their guns even harder. 2. No 3. They tried it in the 1920s, lead to powerful gangs and a ton of murders and violence, so I'd say no. 1. I know, and that's why I asked, why do people do that? That's just how it goes sometimes. Despite the wealth of information available at our fingertips, sometimes people will get stuff wrong. All you can do is trust yourself to verify the facts. 2. No, it's not illegal to follow pornstars on Twitter. Why would it be? Views on whether porn is immoral are up to your own personal beliefs, but you're not going to jail for following Bailey Jay or whoever. 3. My general opinion on "Should (insert currently legal thing here) be outlawed?" is no. 2. Because the laws are weird where I live. Whatever, screw it, I'll just ask the questions. Confirmation bias is the answer to your first question. 2a. It is legal in the United States for anyone over 18 years of age to follow a pornstar on twitter. 2b. Morals are subjective. It is up to the individual to decide for themselves what is moral or immoral. These subjective morals are limited to that individual, and these subjective morals should not be applied to others. 3. In my opinion, and based on its history, alcohol sale and consumption should remain legal. 2b. I agree with this, but that leads me to ask another q uestion, that being why people try to force their own personal morals on others?Watch Ken Burns' documentry on Prohibition to find out why it ended up so badly. Oh and for the Pornstar twitter thing that would really depend on the country's laws. It is not illegal in the US and I highly doubt it is in Australia. Australian laws are weird. It is definitely illegal to follow porn stars on twitter, punishable by death regardless of what country you're in. I don't know why people spread misinformation on the internet, personally I would never do that. But I already started following Bailey Jay on Twitter...if I get into trouble for it, I'm blaming xCompackxOut of curiosity, why are you concerned about whether porn is immoral? I mean, unless you're watching it with someone, you're actually the only person seeing what you're watching. If it's offensive to you, don't watch it, lol; not a big deal. Because whenever I have any sexual thoughts whatsoever, I feel guilt and shame. Also, I worry about whether it's legal or not. 1. Some people do it out of sense of humor, and maybe even misunderstanding, for all we know. 2. I don't use twitter much, and am not interested in porn, myself, but lots of people follow them on Twitter. I doubt they post sexual stuff, every time they tweet. 3. Drinking alcohol, at least in the states, is illegal, if you are under 21. If you are of age, and can drink responsibly, then there isn't a need for prohibition. 3. The drinking age here is 18. People are dumb and/or lazy and are way more apt to want something to confirm their biases regardless of whether it's factual. Of course it isn't illegal. Why would you think it would be? Immoral just depends on your POV. Some would say yes, depending on their beliefs. Most wouldn't. Tried that once, led to rampant crime in the 20s. Dumb idea. Because of the weird, contradictory, nonsensical laws where I live.

1. Well, that's one of the problems of the internet. There's so much information, true or BS (or a mix of the two), being tossed out there that no one knows what is 100% Truth anymore. Therefore, people often can kind of use that to support BS, as the crap seems just as logical to them as the truth. Plus, now people can just completely deny truth as being false, if it's not something they want to hear. 2. (A) No....somewhat creepy, but not illegal. (B) Hell no! What else are you supposed to use to flog your dolphin? Sometimes old Shannon Tweed movies just don't cut it. 3. No, but it annoys me that alcohol has become a National Institution in many countries, while certain other much less harmful things are still, for the most part, illegal, and their usage gets you looked at like a common junkie by people that are Legally destroying their livers one drink at a time.

The more dangerous ones are people who know it's wrong, but they don't care, they have to "win" for their own ego and have people believe what they say no matter the facts. It's similar with why people try to force their morals on people, in their mind, they're "right", there way is the only way to be, so no matter what people want, they have to do things that person's way.

"2b. I agree with this, but that leads me to ask another question, that being why people try to force their own personal morals on others?"
The society of our world is unfortunately built upon forcing personal morals onto others. Discussing the topic further would be against the forum's rules.

All I really want when I post here is to get along with everybody... Did you even read the responses to your questions? Come on man. You keep pushing and pushing until you get the answer you want to hear (that people hate you, when no one does). And when it doesn't come, you bring up controversial topics and questions and side with the less popular side and then use it as an excuse for people to show that you're hated. We aren't your old board. Do what you gotta do, but youre not a victim here. Good luck and I hope things turn out well for you. FAN will still be here either way.

Now that I've gotten outside confirmation that some members most likely hate me by proxy, I'm considering deleting my account again. All I really want when I post here is to get along with everybody... Go back over the thread. Read everyone's responses to your first 3 questions. There is your answer. Noone hates you. You even acknowledged what I said about stopping doing this for that reason. The second set of questions, like the sexual being outlawed question, you're not engaging with any response you don't want to hear. Disagreement does not mean dislike. I don't like Kenny Omega. Loads of Kenny Omega fans here, guess what? I love them too. But like has been said, you're pushing and only seem to want to hear one thing. You're either fishing to hear Noone hates you in which case you have 3 pages of a thread saying that or you want one person to confirm that they do which isn't going to happen. Either way frustration will cause people to draw back from you. That's not hatred either. I echo the previous response, go to a therapist and let them help you, listen to them rather than just disputing what they tell you. Create some threads about what you like, what you enjoy. In the metal thread and radio thread, engage people about the music you like. Stop feeling so guilty for nothing.

You could always do my approach to things and just assume everyone loves you despite evidence to contrary. Evidence which does not exist, which is why I know all love That Guy.

Would you guys please stop giving attention to this crap? It is the single oldest tactic for getting positive feedback of all time.
If you want to keep posting, keep posting. If you want to leave, then leave. But if you want to keep crying for attention every time you feel like you aren't getting enough love from an internet message board, go bark up someone else's tree. I can't even believe anyone is bothering to play this game. I wasn't going to say anything, but we're up to six pages of this nonsense of you guys going in circles.

All I really want when I post here is to get along with everybody... I'll echo what others have said, no one hates you but this "woe is me" posting isn't helping. You want to just post and get on with people Then do it, sure you may clash with some people but guess what that's life it's gonna happen.

If everyone hates you, then leave. I've read multiple comments saying that no one has any personal issues with you. If you don't believe that, then go. I'm just going to say one thing, seek out some professional help. Either you want to troll people or you have serious issues.
