Sylvain. He got to work a main event feud & had a hilarious theme & video package when they turned him into a fashion model. How do I not remember this?!?! It was the Vince/Hogan feud for WrestleMania XIX. Sylvain was the crooked ref at No Way Out & tried to interfere at WrestleMania.

Sylvain's music was the default CAW theme in SVR06, but Renee had Fifi so it's impossible to decide.

I will say I'll always get a kick out of Sylvan getting a Hogan level reaction from the crow when Smackdown returned to Montreal in the midst of his Quebec Ambassador gimmick.
Between this and reclaiming the tag belts there, Grenier might be one of few stars not booked to look like garbage in his hometown.

Sylvain had a fantastic look, but not much else.

Rob Conway: "Nobody's looking at me! I begged you....BEGGED YOU to look at me!" *whimpers* That's right he was in La Resistance too, I'm not sure how/why because Rob wasn't French or Canadian to my knowledge. If he were part of this poll he might've gotten negative votes. /ConwayPop

IRL he was added to give the team a solid worker who had some experience as Grenier and Dupree while really over as heels due to France's refusal to help in the war at the time, were both really green and in over their heads in ring and with the big push they were getting.

they were both pretty forgettable... but I did really enjoy the Fashion Model Schtick Sylvan had for a while (including one of my favorite heel moves of don't hit my pretty face with him miming head shots with his hands) also the Suplex DDT he used as a finish was cool. but other than that neither one were particularly good. Dupree probably had more upside... but based on what we got I found the short lived model stuff with Sylvan was more entertaining than like 90% of what Dupree did. combined with of course JBL's over the top hatred of him (before he got overbearing on commentary) when he was the Quebec Ambassador... "He's French AND Canadian... I DOUBLE HATE HIM!" Forgettable indeed. It was due to lousy gimmicks they had going for them after been repacked. And another thing is that the writers at the time were awful.

I look at La Resistance and that earlier RVD match I posted above and marvel how much better they got progressively than the other two French dudes on NXT-- Marcus Louis I think is one of their names, that dude has an unlovable mug which kinda works for him as a negative-Rene heel's face cause nothing else really works for him IMO (especially in-ring, Louis's moves lack any impact compared to Dupree who looks like he can murk Cena or Reigns on a good night). They are like night and day as far as green European tag teams go.

Renee should be the answer given pedigree and talent but I've got to go for Sly. He had *something* about him, mostly look, but it was a GOOD look. If he'd had modern developmental, you're looking at a solid mid-upper mid guy.

Neither as both of them sucked at a equal level.

The Tickler was legit pro wrestling gold I remember a match in like 2004 or 2005 where he faced the Undertaker and really hoping that Taker would break out the Tombstone Tickler right before he hits his finish.

I see pictures of tattooed Rene acting weird on indies every now and then. What's Sly up to now?

Rob Conway out of the 3 just for his theme. One of Jim Johnson's bests.
Out of the other two or has to be Dupree. I was a big fan of the guy. He was also victim to management telling him to stop doing the French Tickler as it was getting over. Much like Cesaro's swing.

Honestly, Dupree was one of my favourite acts during the dire year that was SmackDown 2004. Shame his demons got the better of him and derailed what could’ve been.

Dupree, because The French Tickler and Fifi always gave me a laugh.
I didn't like when Dupree had the sideburns and mustache look, though.
