2015: Bayley is a sure thing in WWE, the ultimate underdog babyface, she sells herself, there's no way they can screw her up!
2017: ...
And they seriously have no one to blame but themselves, her booking is some of the worst I've ever seen, and I imagine somewhere HHH is grinding his teeth a la Marge Simpson on how badly this pooch was screwed to the point they're seemingly just giving up.
Like you wonder why everyone is scared for Asuka, THIS SHIT IS WHY.

Super talented, super relatable, clearly actually ENJOYS working there, but f***, Vince can't pop a viagra to her, so she's useless, apparently.

It's YOUR FAULT.

Shit like this makes me really worry about a guy like Velveteen Dream who, credit where it's due, busted his ass and worked to find a gimmick that works for him and got crazy over, but the second he gets called up, the WWE writer's room won't "get it", and he'll be the third member of the Fashion Police....is that even still a team?

I'm not even a Bayley fan but the Extreme Rules match with Bliss where she went on for weeks and weeks about how Bayley was a loser with no killer instinct only to have the match and prove the heel absolutely 100% correct was one of the weirdest/dumbest decisions I've ever seen.

You know, between her and Finn, I wonder what Hunter is telling the call-ups. It cannot be easy to see guys and gals that were super over get turned into nothing like this.

A talent and gimmick that's genuinely really marketable to girls and young women. And insanely over with the male fans among the NXT crowds, to boot.
It takes a special kind of business ineptitude and laziness to ruin, and subsequently give up on, that.
Like, I'm obviously a WWE fan but sometimes the company doesn't deserve to do as well as it does.

Sacrified at the altar of Bliss.
That storyline killed her off. She looked a total moron throughout and then lost like a big idiot.

I still am trying to really put my finger on the it: I can't decide if the WWE directly booked Bayley dead, or their terrible never ending SuperAlexa push killed Bayley dead as a side effect

So... What do we do from here? Do we rally behind her to try and jumpstart things or do we give up on her too and leave her with nothing?

They went out of their way to make her look like shit in the Bliss feud, what do they want her to do? I feel bad for her. Any time you hear an interview with her you can tell how passionate she is about what she does and how much this is a dream for her, and I can't imagine how disheartening it must be to get to where you've wanted to be your whole life and continuously be put into a position to fail.
There are a lot of other aspects to this that are frustrating, like the contrast between how NXT and the main roster are run and WWE still only really being invested in certain types of women despite their "women's revolution" shit but I don't trust myself to articulate it as well as others will.

Sometimes I think they do this to spite the fanbase for daring to have a different mindset.
They no longer have a nose after all the cuts they've done to it, now they're starting to cut off their ears

Honestly, Bayley got super over with the Florida NxT crowds, then that transitioned to tv because she was so over with the Full Sail crowd, so she was always over with the crowds when NXT travels because she was really over with Full Sail. BUT, the thing about Bayley- she gets over because she is a really good “indy” style worker. I don’t mean she is great at strong style, she is flippy, etc. But, she is great at playing to a live audience. She has a connection to the people therewatching here live, she gets the live crowd involved in her matches, etc. However, a good live crowd wrestler isn’t always a good tv wrestler. Basically, Bayley doesn’t seem as awesome watching her on Raw as she did when I would go watch her work in front of 100 people in Largo.

That killed her, that was the kiss of death to Bayley's career. Crying about how she doesn't want to hurt people, then what are you a wrestler for? Instead when she got the cane she should've instead thrown it away and say I don't need it to beat you and goes on to win the match.
