I'm pretty up with the current product dude, I guess I forgot about the 2015 tag title scene because it was kind of just dominated by Dev Corp and then NRG held the belts for awhile if my memory serves me correctly, that Tournament made that whole year a blur And I wasn't talking about NRG getting a crazy amount of grand championship shots, I meant how the Grand Championship Title scene has begun to shape out with contenders for the belt with how the roster has become, reminds me of the scarce tag title scene in around the 2015 area. I thought the Meloni had actually had Magnum as a pet in reality therefore when Meloni left Magnum did too, also considered with the fact the dog is apparently terrified of live crowds. So my mistake. In closing. Please don't think I'm not up with the current product because I got ONE FACT wrong about a dog, your whole message comes off condescending to me and I don't appreciate it. It's good bro. Ok cool For the record I dont mind you correcting me on things, I get shit wrong I'm human, just a better tone for the next time if/when it happens is all. I don't mind being wrong I just don't want it to seem like you think I'm stupid or don't do something like keep up with CHIKARA because of it, thereby my opinion and stance looking weaker.

I would suggest people genuinely interested in following CHIKARA to follow the twitters of the roster. It’s not exactly a secret that Magnum belongs to Solo Darling. Just follow her twitter. You’ll see plenty of pics of them together. I didn’t even know ThunderFrog was gone from the company until he mentioned it on twitter. Same with Blind Rage. Even Max Smashmaster saying he was retiring was done on his twitter. CHIKARA usually doesn’t acknowledge departures from the company too often these days. Maybe because there’s been so many. Twitter is a good way to keep up with news about the roster. Just saying.

I feel like most of the time, it's two different crowds. You have to remember that most of the crowd there are the young'uns since parents know that they can take their kids to the shows and not have a difficult time with it. The main reason I enjoyed the actual shows of the secret season was because the audience was mostly kids who were having the time of their lives. They were SO MAD when the heels cheated, and they got SO BEHIND the underdog faces.

i kind of feel like this has run its course. hopefully it goes in anew direction. Yeah that's kind of another thing the roster needs, new feuds. Everyone is kind of stuck in the same rutterless direction and if you're doing to develop new blood you need to have them interact with the roster as a whole and have different stories and mini-feuds, it's what built up CHIKARA's roster so well before.

I haven't kept up with Chikara for the last few years, but I definitely have noticed that the promotion just seems a bit more... aimless? And what other people said about the positive mojo seemingly being scarce and just repetitive booking. Is booking all still pretty much a one Quack show?

Bryce being the DOF makes a ton of sense, if he's not gonna be reffing much anymore keep him as an active member of the place.
As for Quack coming back I'd hope so as long as he's cleared.

Man, Gran Akuma being back makes me want to dip my toes back in the water. Love that guy. Akuma being back is cool but I want to see something more from it, like teaming with Icarus again or something. I wish we could get a FIST Reunion for King of Trios if I'm honest, have them win it one more time...

Honestly, I'd reform F.I.S.T. and put the straps on them ASAP. I'd also put them in a feud with the Hawks. While some might say it's just a ripoff of their feud with the Colony, F.I.S.T. are one of my all time favorite indie teams and had amazing matches with all sorts of teams(my favorite being the Cheech and Cloudy match where Akuka kicks Cloudy so hard he pukes). Put them together and have them work with the relatively green teams that Chikara still have. If they wanna get estranged fans like me back, they gotta make what guys they still have left mean something. Ophidian becoming 17 is okay, but I want a strong singles push, maybe even a Grand Champion run? Dasher needs to be a Main Eventer like three years ago.

Dasher should have been crowned Grand Champ when he beat Kingston at WiF I believe? But CHIKARA technically wasn't back yet, it sucked. Icarus winning was fine, but yeah Dasher has been constantly screwed, dude should have been champ ages ago.
FIST is what the Hawks need to try and establish themselves because while they're ok, they look too the same to me, their looks don't really do much to seperate them. The Colony had this in spades and they had amazing mannerisms to tell this. Meanwhile all the birds just CAW CAW and shit and it doesn't really deviate them, they're just "The Purple one, the Silver one...", Razer is the only one that feels like he's unique and he lucked out with that dude to his size.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but DUSTIN's profile has been removed from the roster page.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but DUSTIN's been removed from the roster page. It has, it sucks but his Indy prestige is actually bumping hard. I don't know if WWE is ever going to take a swipe at him but if the stuff about his disagreements with Quack are true he honestly doesn't need CHIKARA anymore.

It's fascinating to me, because everyone always pegged Quackenbush as the mastermind behind CHIKARA's success in terms of booking. And, admittedly some of his ideas are the ones that fans look back fondly on and he was the one with the final say.
But I feel like it's telling that as the pieces of his old "booking team", for lack of a better word for it, from the glory years have fallen away CHIKARA's shine has...eroded.
To me, it shows not that Quack isn't creative, because he is. But like with any creative media of this nature sometimes it takes that spark, that magic, that can only be made when the right pieces of the machine are grooving. Like a band, and CHIKARA now is...sort of modern Guns'n'Roses. Like, sure, it can be good, but there's that indescribable element that's now missing and likely will never be back.

Chikara had an unbelievable run where basically none of their top guys left for the longest time (obviously Claudio is the exception to this). Quack was able to have strong long-term booking, and not worry about anyone leaving and screwing that up. That has changed, both because WWE has started snapping up Chikara talents and just the indy boom and the fact that there are more stable independent companies out there. I don't think Quack has quite figured out a perfect reaction to that. His response is to start to groom more of his guys who he can count on for the next couple years so he can go back to the old cycle, rather than focus on the present and tweaking the formula. And long-term it may pay off. But it puts Chikara into a rebuilding period at a time when there are so many more options for our viewing, and that's dangerous.
