I watched the first Batman run of movies last year and still maintain that Batman Forever is worse than Batman & Robin. Batman & Robin is one of those so bad it’s good movies with the ice puns etc. Batman Forever is just boring in my opinion and Jones/ Carrey stink up the joint

I'd say it's as bad as &Robin without going full tilt all the way over to silliness like the latter. Forever was more disappointing in that you could see the skeleton of a good movie in there.
That said, I still love both for their badness.
I don't know what else can be said about Forever by Critic that hasn't been WELL covered by now though.

Yeah, neither of the Schumacher films are what I'd call misunderstood classics. They're dumb fun, more or less.

Forever has some good to it.
- I love the look of Gotham & Riddler's base - Riddler turning the Signal into the dot of the question mark was neat - Kilmer was a good Batman IMO - Story was OK, Fits a Batman story - Soundtrack
Everything else though was poor especially TLJ & Carrey chomping every piece of scenery they come across.

Forever was just so very boring, IMO. Jim Carey was terrible as the Riddler...heck, I'm ashamed to even call him the Riddler as he just came off as "Joker Light." I guess he was taking cues from Frank Gorshin, but that was a different time back then and the Joker wasn't so prevalent, if I recall. So technically, Joker was aping off Riddler in the 60's. Bah, either way, bad flick.

And who could forget the Kiss from a Rose song Funny thing is the lyrics are almost more fitting of Batman & Robin.

And who could forget the Kiss from a Rose song I love that song, but the U2 song was even better (Sadly, I cant find the original video on youtube).

Even as a kid I freaking hated Tomb Raider.
Even as an adult I like Batman Forever. Don't like it but I find it plenty watchable, though mostly for Carrey.

I loved Forever as a kid, but as an adult, its a brutal watch. Carrey is a great actor under normal circumstances, but because this 1995 Jim Carrey, we get more of Mask/Ace Ventura Jim Carrey than Cable Guy/Eternal Sunshine/Truman Show Carrey. I think make this 10 years later with Nolan directing, Carrey would have nailed the part and we'd still be talking about it.
Tommy Lee Jones is a good Harvey Dent on the surface, but again, they don't write a proper Harvey Dent.
Val Kilmer isn't a bad Batman, he tries to be Keaton early on though and doesn't really get to come into his own here.
Dr. Chase Meridian...ugh...

I was actually watching Forever last night. It's not good, but it's oddly fascinating to me, and for a 2 hour film, it doesn't feel it. Maybe because there's so much going on, a lot of it not properly set up or explained.
I will eternally wonder if there was a bunch of deleted content, or if it's weird nature is because of how it changed hands from Burton to Schumacher, with heaping helpings of studio interference. So much is just... oddly set up.
Dr. Chase Meridan is set up almost like she'd be a villain, with her Batman fascination that seems to mostly make him uncomfortable. I get that he's probably trying to firmly establish that he feels she'd be let down with the reality versus the fantasy, but it's still very odd. I am also wondering why she'd know about his thing with Catwoman. Most anyone who would have seen them have any lengthy interaction would have been dead, unless there's some unexplored stuff between films I am not aware of. That said, outside of Alfred and Gordon, I don't really know what continuity is meant to exist between his films and Burton's. Maybe Catwoman had a very different stint in Gotham.
The Blacklight Gang scene is stylish as f***, though, I'll grant them that.
