Also, you end up losing what makes Royce and Kay special. They’d have to be serious henchwomen for Paige and lose all the funniness in their act, which is why people like them in the first place. Who cares if they’re better wrestlers if they’re boring?

This is the problem right here. Since the Horsewomen, almost none of the female call-ups have been ready for the main roster when they were taken. It's only gotten even worse with these two factions where Ruby Riot is the only one they called up who is even kind of ready to have been called up. It was 100% the Tough Enough connection. That was it. Maybe paired with some pressure from USA Network to get some Tough Enough signings onto television ASAP.

I mean, Shayna Bazler was pretty unconvincing as an MMA fighter, so it's good to have a backup.

These two both annoyed the crap out of me on Tough Enough. I don't even understand why these two were even signed, neither showed any potential as wrestlers, and both just came off like someone who would be a locker room cancer.

Doesn't DeVille have legit boxing/MMA training? Just saying this isn't so much a gimmick as something that's a part of her. Admittedly this is going to be hard for her now they have Baszler who does everything better than DeVille does as well as having an intimidating presence.

The best part is that reminding people of Tough Enough would cause anyone who remembers that garbage to also recall that Paige HATED these two, especially Mandy and would never have wanted to work with them which just makes the decision even dumber.
