Apparently there's 19 women on the main roster and they plan on using 9 women from NXT (Moon? Sane? Bayzler? Cross? Iconic Duo? Evan? Belair?) so that limits the surprises to 2, which is really disappointing. PWInsider has apparently reported its Michelle McCool and Molly Holly Where did you hear that from? Would be surprising to have the only 2 surprises be McCool and Holly. So it works. |

I'd say Baszler is likely. I know she's only been on NXT TV a few weeks, but she already seems like she belongs on the main roster.

The pool of talent that is 1. willing to do this 2. able to do this and 3. going to get a pop from the crowd, is much smaller than with the men, which makes this hard to guess.
If it weren't for her recent surgery I would have said Madusa was a sure thing for this. In terms of older legends, I'd say Jacqueline is a possibility (recent HOF'er) or Ivory, given the GLOW connection and HOF rumours. I think Jackie could get a respectful pop, but Ivory never really had recognisable music outside of RTC which is what the Rumble relies on. Ivory also never really had any signature moves, whereas Jackie could throw some kicks before a quick elimination.
Trish and Lita seem like the obvious bets. Lita still works with the company and has all the necessary tools for a Rumble surprise. Trish has been getting name-dropped in every Mandy Rose match recently, having been mentioned a lot less in recent years. If they want a memorable moment, Trish and Lita going face to face is guaranteed to get a good reaction from the crowd.
In terms of the other women of their era and later; Jazz is unlikely given the lawsuit she's involved in, and Victoria would be a good choice but given they wouldn't even let her backstage a couple months back perhaps she's unlikely too. Obviously Gail Kim is a no. I don't think Stacy Keibler wants anything to do with wrestling. Maryse and Maria are pregnant so definite no's. Torrie Wilson could perhaps do it, as could Kelly Kelly. I'd love to see a Kharma return. Eve seems like a good guess given her relationship with WWE, but would she be a heel? Her best run was a heel, but surprise entrants usually end up getting face reactions.
Speaking of which, Michelle McCool is one of the rumoured names going around, it'd be interesting to see how the crowd would greet her. I'm surprised, but happy, to hear Molly Holly's name getting thrown around. If she does show up, I'd like to see her as the classic Holly cousin Molly; I know Molly herself preferred being a face, and that's how she dressed for the Miss Wrestlemania battle royal.
I'm still predicting an Eva Marie appearance; a long, drawn out entrance only to be immediately eliminated.
