It's almost like letting people play to their strengths and suddenly they actually show off their star power... this is the second time this has happened for Finn in the past like 4 months... of course they followed up the last time by immediately having him run into Kane the next night for no real reason. It's hardly noticeable though since his wins have hardly been treated as highlights of the show compared to Roman/Braun/Ambrose/Miz/Rollins/Bar. and they tended to be against people like Curt Hawkins, Curtis Axel, and Bo Dallas. Technically speaking, his last match before this was a loss to Samoa Joe at MSG, so the statement is just blatantly wrong to begin with in a factual sense. Edit: I forgot about his tag match last week. >_>

I feel like the fact that he was *immediately* this good tonight is just proof of how brutally miscast he's been as The Demon past like year 1. Yea, cause you can say he was somewhat heelish tonight but he doesn't have to go full heel He's a dude with a lot of swagger so let him be confident and continue to feed off Gallows/Anderson who set him up very well and because they know each other well everything feels natural For real. He's always had such a confident presence, but he's almost never gotten to show it cause he's had to be shitty mopey demon man for years on end. Like, give me infinitely less demon and give me more of this cocky dickhead right here, cause he's a good boy (language warning cause we're bringing back the attitude era)

Finn looked like a kid who was forced to eat Vegitables for a whole year and his mom suddenly went "You can have candy again". This is the most accurate description we're going to see on this subject. I've wanted the Real Rock-n-Rolla in WWE FOREVER! It was my favorite incarnation of him, and he goes from sexy as hell, to absolute sexiest thing in the history of ever when he goes full cocky swag dickhead mode.

Whenever someone who made their name elsewhere comes to WWE and despite the hype of their fans doesn't live up to expectation, I always see posts complaining about how they came in overhyped in a way that feels like it's blaming the fans who "were wrong" about them. Hopefully after tonight, at least on Balor's accord, some of the people who never saw the appeal of pouty facepaint mythology man and think it was just smarks sucking New Japan's dick to call him a big deal can see that a good lot of the underdelivery has to do with WWE sometimes. The more of Prince Devitt he can channel and the fewer awkward promos about mythology they make him cut, the more Balor can show who he really is as a talent. In recent years the creative team's biggest talent is in covering up peoples' strengths and burying their presence under mountains of shit.

Literally the first time I've seen anything in Balor. Might actually seek out more of his NJPW work now.
Still not sold on his ringwork but my god he finally has a personality.

Always liked Balor and him doing something worth a shit that doesn't involve Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas is just gravy.

He looked so damn happy.
What was this "Rock n Rolla" gimmick people are talking about?

He looked so damn happy. What was this "Rock n Rolla" gimmick people are talking about? It was his nickname when he turned heel and formed the Bullet Club. Basically he was a colossal dick to everyone.

My wife and I have been talking about it. Last week and this one he has not been able to stop smiling around Gallows and Anderson...I am not a fan at all of how Woken or the "B" Club is going with little to no build up but if Finn continues to play the cool tweener that's so natural to him this could be really fun

Covering strengths and exposing weaknesses unless its someone they feel is worthy of protection. Not even. That last remark applies just as much to Roman Reigns being miscast in his role and rejected for it, or to Alexa Bliss's ring work leaving people around here scratching their heads, or even to Vince's initial brain child of New Day being happy dancy preacher boys that only got turned around when creative stopped caring and those three got to put their own personality into things and the whole act deviated pretty much 100% from what it was supposed to be. Finn's problem wasn't that Vince didn't like him, but that Vince's ideas for how people would get into him weren't suited for him as a performer.
