...Then what were all those promos in NXT? ...Then why did Alexa bother speaking to her, in English, just thirty minutes ago?
That was a really dumb line to top off a terrible backstage segment. Nia, or anyone, should have objected to change it to to something else. Just because someone isn't a fluent speaker, just because someone has a heavy accent, does not mean they're unable to communicate. More to the point, we've seen her communicating and talking shit.
I often think that you can tell how awful WWE can be from small moments just as well as the big blunders. As far as I'm considered, this was as good a microcosm as any.

It could have gone even slightly differently and it would have been better. JAX: "Asuka doesn't speak English." BLISS: "...What? Yes she does. Look, nevermind-" She then tries another tactic that also fails. There. That isn't as bad because we're not supposed to view Nia's assertion as important or correct. It's just a really weird note to strike. Leaving behind the bigory of it, it's just bad writing. She does speak English. We've seen it on your television show. |

What's funny is the rumor wlthat she disappears like Neville, cause she wasn't happy with her direction. And if that is true she has been probably much worse since she came back. Like, this is,what you fought for? Pink braids terrible banter and a relationship angle?

You know the women's divisions on Raw and SD are in bad shape when the only thing I care about, besides the FIRST EVER WOMEN'S ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH itself, is a romance angle with Nia and Enzo.

I watched that segment this morning and man that's just bad. Wouldn't have been surprised to see Nia squint her eyes while she said that.

The script for RAW is probably rewritten as the show is going on, so no one can expect any sort of consistency to the point where someone says Asuka cannot speak English on the very same show she was speaking English just a few segments earlier.
