Like, how do I explain this to make sense.
Lemme see... so let's say I got a 40 length x 20 width rectangle. I have to find out how many smaller rectangles can fit on that. Let's say the smaller rectangles is like 4 length x 2 width.
What's the formula for that? Better yet, is there a calculator out there that can assist me?

I'll take a stab at this.
Area=Length+Width
so I would figure that out for the two numbers
area of 40x20 is 800 area of 4 x 2 is 8 if you divide 800 by 8 you get 100 therefore you get 100 8x2 4x2 rectangles in a 40x20 space.
