Thought this might be interesting to discuss, what pays the bills/fills the time for you guys?
I work part time in an airport newsagent/bookshop/convenience store, as well as being a self employed book keeper, doing a few self-employed friends' accounts and VAT. All this pays the bills though so I can be a full time minister on a volunteer basis (about 70 hours a month).

Random sub-contracting jobs, usually with my buddy. Construction, roofing, drywalling, FRP, install/merchandising gigs, whatever comes my way. Luckily I'm single living in a small town, so my cost of living is pretty damn low (all of my bills combined are less monthly then what my sister pays for rent in the city) so when work is dry it doesn't f*** me over too bad.

That's a good place to be. I love my airport job but it involves early shifts (I was in 4am-11.30am today, same tomorrow) and wish my self employed work was consistent enough I could live on that.

The install/merch gigs are the best. Work on the road, paid travel, put up in hotels with living allowance, and because they don't want you to interfere with whatever store you're doing (I've done a few 7-11 tours, some big box store reno's and stuff like that) you're usually working evenings or nights so you don't spend bugger all on the road. If I could get those a little more consistently I'd be livin' the dream

I manage a call center.
It's not the most flattering job, the work is dumb, the hours are long, things can be pretty stressful, but it's very very hard to beat the pay otherwise I would've been gone a long time ago.

I run the machines that make processor boards for various satellite equipment (technically, my job title is SMT operator). It's not a bad gig at all; lots of downtime which means I can do productive things like watch Raw and the pay's decent.
