I think the pig f***ing one would turn off some people.

"The Entire History Of You" is a pretty good introduction to the general premise of new technology that changes how people interact, and the dark consequences therein. Also has the new Doctor Who as a hook.

Also has the new Doctor Who as a hook. That could be a good one. What about for someone who prefers the creepier vibe stuff? I tried to show my girlfriend the show for the first time using Shut Up and Dance. She couldn’t even make it through the whole episode because she said the pacing was too slow. She said she’ll finish that one with me and try another episode too so I’m hoping I pick a good one for you haha. I was thinking Nosedive would be a good one for her too, but when we were picking an episode she said she wanted to watch a creepy one and that’s not really creepy.

Showed my girlfriend 15 Million Merits. Seemed unimpressed.
Nosedive is probably a good option, though the ending kinda sucks.
Of the new season, I'd say Arkangel is a pretty solid indicator of the show.
Or you can cheat and do San Junipero.

Arkangel has really easy, universally accessible themes.
USS Callister is my pick though. EVERYONE knows Star Trek, and it's got enough laughs to be accessible.

However, I think the porn stuff would turn her off. Arkangel might be a good one for people. I was just avoiding using season 4 episodes as I literally just watched the entire season 4 by myself. I also think the first episode of season 4 could work for some people as it has a lot of twist and turns. San Junipero might be a good one as she loves sappy endings. Although that ending is kind of dark/misleading depending how you look at it.

I think the pig f***ing one would turn off some people. At the same time, that one sets the general tone of what viewers can expect. It's also not as dark as a good chunk of other episodes.

when my brother introduced me and my dad starting from Episode 2 of season 1 and then after watching the rest of the first season went backed and watched the first episode as it doesn't really give a good feeling of the show proper.

I introduced my girlfriend to the series over the summer and I felt a little concerned saying, "Hey, let's watch this show I really like!" to a girl I'd met about a month prior and then opening with an episode about a man having sex with a pig.
So I started with "Fifteen Million Merits" and continued on to "The Entire History of You." Once I could tell she was comfortable with the series dark and dystopic view of technology and society, I decided it was time to go back to where it all began with the first of the three-episode season.
As an aside, is there any other series out there where your personal least favorite is the most critically acclaimed? I think "San Junipero" is hands-down the worst episode of "Black Mirror," yet it's absolutely beloved. I was baffled when I finished season three and read the reviews and saw how beloved that episode was. I almost had to watch it again to make sure I didn't miss anything. (I didn't)

Entire History of You, Waldo Moment and White Bear. Probably in that order given the sliding scale of darkness through them.

Just start with the pig f***ing. I think it's deliberately the pilot episode to say "if you can't handle this, get out now". An initiation if you will.

Nosedive was the first one I saw and it hooked me.

100% watch them in order. Making it past the pig f***ing is a litmus test to see if this show is for you or not.

My GF is really into it and showed me "Be Right Back" as the first episode I've ever seen. Despite loving Domnhall Gleeson and that kind of fiction in books, it was such a downer it turned me off the entire show. So..I'd say not that one.

Descriptions of other certain episodes sound intriguing still, but the shows probably too bleak for my taste.

I know if I showed that to people I know, their entire impression is that "It's that show about pig f***ing", and then would begin to associate me with pig f***ing on a personal level for having suggested they watch it.

Well as long as you don't show them Vase de Noces next... NB: If you don't know what that is, don't look it up
