Fun game and awesome roster once you realized they where all real guys with fake names. I did find it funny for a WCW game, that there where only like 10 guys from WCW. Kind of odd picks too when you factor in the NWO red hot and how on the booklet had guys like Piper and DDP on it and neither was in the game. The hidden boss if you will was unplayable (I never figure out otherwise) was Jarrett. You had to go to the very bottom of the character selection screen and hit down one more time, you'd see Jarrett's picture and him listed as "The All American." However, he wasn't the end-end boss, just the end boss of WCW. Once you toppled every promotion's boss, I believe you faced Andre the Giant under another name, but clearly Andre. Yeah I was going to say there were a few more bosses and alll were playable. Jarrett wouldn’t get the end boss treatment until the TNA videogame.

It gets underappreciated how important this game was for wrestling games in the United States. It was the first major 3D game here, during an era when the 16-bit WWF LJN was the closest thing to wrestling and the next-gen 32-bit consoles' games like Midway's Wrestlemania were moreso fighting games that happened to be wrestling themed. Once 'WCW vs the World' was released, it immediately set the new standard, and there was no going back.
On a personal note, looking back this game was probably my gateway into Japanese wrestling. Once I started recognizing WWF TV guys on the game selection screen (Shamrock, Hawk, Sasuke, and Taka were all featured on RAW at the time) it got me poking around and testing out guys I saw who looked cool. I got to love Habanero's moveset, and once I found out he was a real guy named Hayabusa, I started seeking his stuff out and got hooked.

WCW/NWO World Tour was better, but not by much. I hated that it was mostly unknowns. I always played as the WCW crew.
