He's admitted what he did and the person he harassed has accepted his apology. Nothing criminal as done. Sounds like its taken care of to me.

He apologized and she accepted. People can make mistakes and learn from them.
The entire point of a western society is learning from your mistakes.

That... Does not remotely sound like she is accepting his apology. Pretty much the exact opposite.

Let's get the obvious remark out of the way:
"To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Harmon's apology. The repentance is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of emotional contrition most of the mea culpa will go over a typical reader’s head. There’s also Dan’s remorseful outlook, which is deftly woven into his personality.."
Seriously though, while she accepted his apology, I think his general issues make it tricky to predict that he'll never act emotionally inappropriate with his employees, either male or female.

That's the problem. While I understand wanting to give people second chances, Harmon wasn't exactly the nicest guy around. If anything, he was often coming off as a loud asshole. And to some people, that kind of malcontent behavior dooms an individual.

He apologized and she accepted. People can make mistakes and learn from them. The entire point of a western society is learning from your mistakes. Spilling beer on the carpet is a mistake, not being a sexual predator. She never claimed to be sexually violated. Her accusations are mostly about him being a jerk after she turned him down. For which he admitted and for which she accepted his apology for.

Remember when Adam from Whatculture apologized before he had even been accused of anything, and the response on here was “f*** that guy, only apologising because he thought he would be caught, not sincere!”? That was pretty funny.

So this is sexual harassment and not sexual assault meaning he was aggressive even after being turned down but nothing got physical it seems
A damn idiot and it seems like his asshole tendencies came back to bite him as it should. Good on her for continuing that pursuit and calling him out on that BS. From the way it seems, she got a "peace of mind" from a standpoint of vindication as she said she didn't imagine these things happening to her and he admitted to everything
This is probably the "best result" you can get from something like this and would hope people learn from this moving forward

Not sure if this qualifies as sexual harassment, but defintiely harassment of some sort.
Wonder if it will affect his position, it doesn't sound like he forced her to do anything.

Even with all the media attention on this problem it won't end, they'll just be more careful. And I'll bet a lot of guys like this in the industry has worked overtime covering their tracks in the wake off all this.

Not sure if this qualifies as sexual harassment, but defintiely harassment of some sort. Wonder if it will affect his position, it doesn't sound like he forced her to do anything. It's definitely sexual harassment, by US legal standards, at least Courts in the US recognize two chief types of sexual harassment: quid pro quo, which is the type that says "if you want this promotion, then you should come to my place" or something skeevy like that, and the second is "hostile work environment", any behavior that creates unsafe, uncomfortable, or unequal working conditions based on treatment that stems from the target's sex/gender. The former is easier to sue over (and company management can be held liable for it even if they're not aware it's happening), and the latter is very common. Harmon admits here that he wouldn't have done what he did if she wasn't a woman, so it fits neatly into the second classification. That said, his apology seemed very contrite and she did accept it, which is good, but it'd be nice if some of these guys could take the lead and maybe go public with this stuff before it's just a reaction to things already happening. Maybe get on a microphone and, without revealing the identity of their victim(s), be upfront about how wrong they were and how much they want to do better, and how sorry they are to the person/people they hurt. It wouldn't warrant giving them a standing ovation or anything (I've heard stories about people doing that, as well) but it'd sure as hell be more constructive to the larger dialog.
