Back when I played bass in a band, there was a practice where nothing was clicking. It just seemed like everyone was having an off day. I think we were actually about to just call it a day and try again later.
It popped into my head, so I started playing Zombie. Everyone joined in, and that somehow got everything on track. I've had a soft spot for the song ever since, and I already liked it.
There's way too much music being left on the table here, and even more life with her family and friends.

Surprised it took this long to post this one. To me one of the best songs of the 1990s.

RIP. The Cranberries' hit songs were some of the first I knew as actual songs when I was a young kid. "Dreams" is still a top '90s jam for me, and I think it's because her voice is just so mesmerizing on it.

46 is way too young.
I don't have the connection to them that some of you do, but whenever their stuff got played on the radio it was always a "turn the volume up a bit and enjoy" moment.

What a voice. Good band, but without her they aren't that different. Her voice made them stand out and be memorable, even all these years later.

Very sad news. She had a beautiful voice. "Zombie" is one of the greatest and most meaningful songs of that era.

I listened to The Cranberries' debut album on my way to work today. "Dreams" is such a nostalgia trip for me. It showed up frequently in 90s dramedy soundtracks, and it's a really beautiful song.
RIP to a wonderful singer.

Devastating.
I follow an Irish musician who was close to her on instagram and she's distraught.

I literally looked up how she was doing maybe a week ago after hearing "Zombie" somewhere. What a damn shame.

Zombie was one of my favourites. Such a tragic loss. RIP.

I had a roommate who absolutely loved The Cranberries, so every morning for literally a year I woke up to Zombie playing in the living room. Never got sick of that song, it's just amazing.
