With all thats going on in Hollywood right now, this is probably shouldn't be something I should posting on here, but I need an outlet, and keeping it bottled up inside is just making me feel worse, and worse.
I'll get straight to the point, I'm a male who has been a victim of sexual assault, and harassment by several different women over the years. The normal response when I have tried to tell this people is that I'm lying, or that I'm just looking for attention, or the most hurtful of all "you know you liked it". People don't realize how much this has affected me, they make a joke out of it, and they mock me. I try to get justice legally, or through my workplace, and I get told to stop wasting their time.
It just hurts, and it's made me very distrustful of women, and I go out of my way to avoid them if possible. I don't want them near me, I don't want them talking to me, and I know that sounds ridiculous, and I know not every woman is out to get me, but I can't help it.
I can't get justice, I can't get peace, and I've been made to feel subhuman. I'm sorry, I just had express how I feel.

As a male that was approached, repeatedly, by a good looking 35 year old female teacher (not that it really makes much difference but it wasn't my teacher, same school district thou) when I was 16... I feel your pain my friend. Back in the 90's I was told things like "You're lucky".
I didn't like it. It felt wrong. It's hard to even talk about it today. But you opened up, I felt I could too.
Thanks, honestly.

I was molested by my moms bf a few times, once before they were even together. Dude was with all of her sisters at points as well. Took over 20 years before I even allowed myself to think about it, much less talk about.
Stay strong and true to yourself. Don't let opinions of others jade you worse about the experiences. Seek out therapy.

While we're sharing (or reiterating) personal stories...there was someone I know who was unjustly fired from his job because a female co-worker took certain things he did as harassment, though it was not the intention. What was worse was that apparently, the accuser noted certain things that no one told the accusee about when or just after they happened. There were claims she told him "no" but this was mostly not the case.
And this is why I am cynical about #MeToo. While I don't think the movement is made of nothing but liars, it is going to lead to kneejerk reactions and certain things being considered not PC anymore.

This is why I really try not to talk to people at work if I don't have to. It's not being anti-social (though people think it), I just want to do my job and avoid saying anything that can be misconstrued. Seems easy, but it seems like it's getting harder and harder by the day.

Document it as much as you can, build up a record of what you've been subjected to and the reaction of management, co-workers etc...
Then when you find a lawyer, sue their asses.

Derailing it with a story about someone faking an accusation to get someone fired is a really cynical and shitty thing to do.

I am truly sorry for all that you giys went through. I have been a victim of verbal and physical abuse. It was years, before I felt comfortable, even opening up to my aunt and my mom, about it.
With that being said, please keep the political stuff, out of the thread, so you can have that place to vent.
Again, I am sorry for what you have been through.

I am very sorry for everyone that has to deal with that ( man or woman ). Have you guys seen horrible bosses 1 & 2 ,? Jennifer Anistons character abuses her male employee ( verbally and physically )multiple times yet her behavior is " funny " , There is something very wrong with society , that needs to change

I was sexually harassed by a woman when I worked at Wal-Mart and they didn't do anything about it.

Abused by my Father and my dentist (who was a friend of his).
I'd repressed it, all came flowing to the surface last year after Scumbags McGhee (my Dad) died.
Different circumstances obviously but I make the point to show you're not alone and there is support, professional and personal. You'll get through it my friend.

I can't even imagine how traumatizing his must be.
When I was 13 I barely escaped being assaulted and possibly even worse. At the time I didn't know how dangerous of a situation I walked away from and even without it actually happening it silo haunts me.

My sincere respect and thanks to those who have shown real courage by speaking up about the atrocities you have faced. You are helping in making it easier for others to speak about their pain and thus making support more forthcoming and attainable.

That's something that really sucks about being a male victim of sexual harassment. There's this belief that males can't be victims or that they're not really victims and that they're wimps or "unmanly" if they didn't like it. And men are afraid of coming forward because of these backwards ass views.
I've never been a victim myself but I have known a few guys who have so I can at least sympathize.

When I was 14, a gay classmate groped me against my will. I broke his nose and arm for it and received a reputation as someone who hated gay people for the trouble.
My best friend was molested by her older cousin twice when she was 8 and 10. The family hushed it up because they were afraid of it being her word against his and it causing a rift between the rest of the family. He's now a violent criminal.
