I need some advice here, if this the right forum.
I’m leaning toward getting a PS4, especially now with the prices being about equal to what I paid for my PS3. The questions are - Slim or Pro? Is there really a big graphical difference to warrant the extra hundred? Also, is it better to wait a bit for another price drop?
Gaming wise, here is what I have my heart set on, which I also welcome opinions on:
Until Dawn. This was the first PS4 game I really wanted. I’m not even a horror fan (detest jump scares and slashers), but the videos make it look so fun and the challenge of trying to unlock everything intrigues me.
South Park. Gotta get both games if I can. The SP fan in me will accept no less. Living through multiple episodes of South Park and, again, gotta do it all.
Horizon Zero Dawn. This is the big game for the graphics. I’ve only seen a few videos, but my God, what a lush explansive world with SO much content! It feels like something I could get lost in and play forevermore.
And the big one. The reason to get the PS4. The itch to scratch.
Life is Strange.
I’m completely obsessed with this since stumbling across it on YouTube a week ago. I just... I need to get into this for myself. Make my own decisions and thoughts. And get lost in the laughs and tears Max, Chloe and Rachel are waiting to give me.
So, thoughts? Advice?

I have the base model and to me the Pro just comes off like a pointless waste of money for basically no actual difference.
That said... If you're into something like Life is Strange (which is a great game) then it might bare looking into the Danganronpa games, or if you want to look into the original on the PS3 first Steins;Gate 0. Not that they're that similar (although Steins;Gate hits on a lot of similar narrative beats to Life is Strange to the point I feel like Life is Strange took some cues from it, if only because Ashly Burch plays the nearest Chloe equivalent structurally speaking in the anime dub) but they are also very story-focused, character-focused games that emphasize narrative over gameplay and have a very unique visual flare and tone to them.
Granted while I'd totally recommend that, the Danganronpa series it bares noting is probably heavily dependent on your tolerance for seeing the quirky lovable characters you've grown to love die horribly. I love the games but if that's not your kind of thing it's going to be a big barrier to entry. Also while I like all of the games a lot it's kind of one of those series where each game isn't quite as good as the one before it.
I'd also probably look into Mortal Kombat X. Very fun time-killer. If you're into Grand Theft Auto 5 it might also be worth double-dipping on if you can catch it on sale, its remaster is one of the few I'd say justifies itself.

Out of those games I haven't played South Park.
Life is Strange is one of the best games I've played. The friendship between Max and Chloe is so well written.
Until Dawn is great the first play through. Such a tense experience but doesn't hold up for second runs. It's pretty cheap now too.
Horizon is excellent. Great premise, looks amazing and fun gameplay. When you find the bigger machines the battles you have are great, require strategy without been over the top in difficulty.

Thanks for the advice so far. I’m just a bit surprised at so few responses. In any case, the sense I get is the difference between Slim and Pro is negligible, so I’m fine either way.
And my game choices appear spot on too. Actually encouraging to know I’m not alone on the Life is Strange bandwagon as well.
Please keep responses coming as it does help.
