Well, not just yet. As of Thursday, the "first network for men" becomes Paramount Network.

No love lost. I don't think they ever really found their voice as a network, and their whole identity has always come off as a bit patronizing.

Check out their twitter account now before it gets stopped. It’s beautiful.

Will the Paramount Network still embrace COPS?

Spike did have some shows in its early days that I did like a lot: Oblivious and Joe Schmo were really good and Most Extreme Elimination Challenge is still one of my all-time favourite shows.

Didn't Joey Styles used to call them "The Redneck Network" back when ECW was trying to get itself cancelled?

It's unbelievable they had UFC when it was on the rise and TNA when it was the Internet darling and lost both. Talk about a lost opportunity.

They also had WWE during the tail end of the Attitude Era. But them losing TNA wasn't a big loss, TNA were already on the massive decline before they left and Spike did more for TNA than TNA deserved.

Yeah Spike was the one that booted TNA, not the other way around.

Wasn’t there some outrage from longtime viewers of the Nashville Network when ECW either led-in to, directly followed or straight up took the time slot of one of the more popular country & western music shows?
