Didn't Spike also have that bizarre "basketball on trampolines" show? I believe you mean SLAMBALL! Slamball f***ing rocked.

I'm torn on Spike.
It's like, I appreciated much of it's meathead man-targeted programming over the years, but was also too mature for some of it.
It was more a station for young dudebros than it was grown former dudebros.
They'd hit. They'd hit. They'd miss.

Man, if she doesn't remember TNN, she's too young for you bro. Spike..was weird. Especially when it was trying to be all guy-centric and in your face. I did like a few shows they showcased. I have little hope for this new change, especially with them pushing "Drop the Mic" and "lip-sync battle" so hard. I thought those were TBS shows.

Well, not just yet. As of Thursday, the "first network for men" becomes Paramount Network. Ok, I feel I should know, but whats your avatar?

They also had WWE during the tail end of the Attitude Era. But them losing TNA wasn't a big loss, TNA were already on the massive decline before they left. Yeah Spike was the one that booted TNA, not the other way around. IIRC, #ItHappens (Dixie Carter getting put through a table) was among the straws that broke the camel's back. That, and Dixie lying about rehiring Vince Russo.

The bulk of the "Across the Nation" era of Raw was on Spike. Many times were had. Good and bad.

Remember World's Worst Tenants?
Bad acting aside, I was shocked at the crap people do, like the mortician who just let bodies rot instead of cremating them.

[quote author=" Fade is a CodyCryBaby" source="/post/13842677/thread" timestamp="1516145798" Spike..was weird. Has anyone read Spike’s Twitter!? Whoever’s running it went off on some tangents.

There used to be this oddball show that came on really early Sunday Morning called Thunderdome Extreme Racing. If you could imagine if you crossed motorsports and pro-wrestling together you have an idea of this show. There were a small group of about 10 drivers, each one with a gimmick and some were faces and some were heels. Most of the races were 1 vs 1 and the heel would usually try to cheat. For instance one shined a bright light in someone's eye to run her off course and then he got out and flattened her tire. The thing I remembered most though was how it seemed like they had no clue how to edit things so they went in proper order. One week they started talking about how the previous week there was a big crash complete with explosion, yet the race that had the big crash did not happen until the next week. Yeah it was weird.

I can find nothing like this on google Closest I could find was a stockcar racing reality show, imaginatively titled "Reality Racing." Then Bullrun, a rally racing show. There is another one called Carpocalypse, but I couldn't find much detail (google search mostly pulls up stuff about invasive carp species, carp-ocalypse)

One talks about a race where they shoot paintballs at each other as they go along. It was on in the fall of 2002 when it was still The New TNN.

Man, I would pay anything for the last broadcast of Spike to have a video like this but with clips of the shows they had in the past, music and all. Reminds me how UPN got NOTHING. Think it just got pulled with a whimper due to making the deal to form the CW. Was there any on air switch? Which reminds me of:

When it became Spike, it did give us this: Let that sink in. I mean, yes, Stripperella was bad, but I didn't mind it. This show, however, made me realize that the original version of R&S was good as it was.
