You know at this point, Affleck’s going to end up doing another half dozen DC movies, each one having more elabourate rumours of it being his last one than the last.
“Ben Affleck’s last as Batman will be Aquaman 3: The Search for Posidon’s Longboat”

So now we're at Ben is leaving and they're doing three Batman movies not connected to the DCEU?
f***ing what?
This is not that hard WB... do they need people to change their adult diapers too?

So many people have played Batman in my lifetime it’s hard to care anymore. I did like Affleck in the role though.

Affleck's very good in the role and all but he isn't worth all the wavering. Just let him go and be done with it.

Really looking forward to having a final answer on this Affleck situation. I really dig him in the role.

Well I’m sort of glossed over news on that too, Flashpoint is not a sure thing to be made

What a shithole.
I like Affleck but I'm still crossing my fingers for Gyllenhaal.

I was really only thinking since 1989 (or whenever the first Burton Batman came out), five actors in twenty nine years. Six if you count the guy who does the LEGO movies

I honestly hope they find a way to entice Affleck to say. What I hope they do is have directors and writers who tell WB to butt out and leave the product to the artists with the vision, give Affleck money and some form of creative aspect in terms of the script and character development, and just call it a day after that.
He's clearly in my opinion the best live action Batman. The incompetence of the studio and critics with an agenda is not his fault in the slightest.

But I'd be a little upset too if people only kept asking about a comic book character I am playing and yet I am trying to promote another film project. I guess I'd be pulling out all the stops to try and keep him. Perhaps let him rest to recharge his batteries while just focusing on a much younger Batman before the Batman vs. Superman storyline.

You know, I don't blame Affleck for losing interest as it seems the studio's intent on putting Batman in every single DC film.
Affleck's been in 3 out of 5 DC movies thus far. He was once slated to return for the solo Batman film and of course he would've been in JL2 as well. Then there's the upcoming Nightwing movie which from what I've heard is about Dick Grayson's life from Robin onwards, so Bruce would most likely show up in there as well. There's also Joss Whedon's Batgirl and like 3 different movies starring Harley Quinn, and there's a good chance they would find a way to squeeze Bats in there somewhere.
And now there's SS2. Sure, Batman had to be in the first one to set up the characters, but why would he have to show up again?
With all this on the horizon, no wonder he'd feel burned out already.

I don't blame you for wanting him to stay around as I said he made a good Oldman Batman Problem is I don't think him flip flopping every year is worth it. Add on the fact that he isn't really setting the world on fire as far as money goes and you have a recipe for letting shit ho They can always play fast and loose as far as the universe goes but I think once he's done, he's done

Yeah, they gave him the tools to write and direct as well as star in the movie... and then he decided he didn't want to do that. Then he's been iffy about even starring as Batman again post Batman V. Superman. and I could easily see WB not thinking he's worth the paycheck if he's been so wishy washy about playing the character especially when he hasn't exactly brought them the numbers. and No, I'm not saying it's all on him that the movies under preformed. On the other hand I also understand why Affleck is kinda done with the character. Since DC are DCing and trying to put him in EVERY movie.
