Rock vs. Triple H - One Last Match

Absolutely not.

If we must have all these part-timers around, then they should be having fresh matches, not this rematch bullshit. That's what made Cena/Rock, Cena/Brock, Triple H/Bryan, even Triple H/Brock special. Some of these matches didn't come off, sure (several of Brock's have disappointed) but that's not the point.

I have seen Triple H and Rock wrestle each other 1000 times, when they were younger, the product was hotter, and they were both better at what they do and fresher as characters. I've always felt like if they both have to wrestle, making them wrestle each other is f***ing ridiculous. I was proved wrong because of the sheer quality of the Undertaker/Brock matches at least, and I did love Goldberg/Lesnar III, but in most cases it's just a complete snooze. The way to move this product forward is not to have all the 'real' stars only wrestle each other.

Feed Rock to Braun. Feed Triple H to Rusev. Give us something newer.

What people are forgetting is that Rock has virtually NO wins over HHH. Same with Austin, barring the obvious wm19 one. In fact HHH pointed this out prior to WM 17 how the rock has no victories over him. In retrospect I think this does hurt Rock to a small degree. I'd like to see him get a clean non tag win over HHH. I'm not sure if he has many victories over Undertaker either, most of his big wins are over people like Angle, Kane, Big show and Booker T. (Hogan notwithstanding)



I think there's a compelling story that could be told where he can't stay away because he worries about all the people he never had decisive victories over. Or where he hounds people building up losses until he gets the victory and then claims he's won the feud. I don't really care too much about "he's taking up screen time", if he's able to entertain me and tell the story well, then i would like to see it.

Rock has victories over Triple H. Two off the top of my head are a cage match on Raw in '99 and Backlash 2000. Are they clean? No, but they were essentially No DQ matches, so they're clean as can be.

These two are each other's greatest rivals. They built each other from the beginning. The fact they never had a wrestlemainia match still amazes me

Dwayne Johnson is the biggest movie star in the world, while a wrestlemania paycheck is nice, it's peanuts compared to what he commands per movie. Apparently when he got injured in the Cena match, it almost ruined the schedule of Hercules costing the rock a lot of money.

Also why would he lower himself to work with Triple H? To quote a famous skinny fat ass, "No offense but I don't need to work with you, you're the one who needs to work with me."

This would be one of the few matches they could do that would get me excited again. I'd rather have Rock/Brock, but if this feud was unavoidable, I would watch it. The promos would be entertaining for sure.

If Rock has to have one more match, sure. As much as I hate the damn guy, Triple H is incredibly safe in the ring and would be best for making sure Rock doesn’t get hurt.

Cena is really safe too. Rock got injured because of being old and on roids.
