Also, in hindsight boy they really squandered that Cena US title challenge thing. in hindsight?it was obviously a waste when it happened and before it happened Oh for sure. At least back then you could rationalize it if you tried to think things wouldn't have gone like they did/have. At least that night it was a big moment in theory, even if it would have really benefit someone new way more. The hindsight part is just how much of a tool Alberto turned out to be.

Kind of, but we knew he was a tool because the first time he got fired, he put his hands on a writer. By the accounts we've heard, the guy probably had it coming, but you still have to be an asshole when you're Del Rio's size to put your hands on some guy not trained to take a hit.

Oh yeah...Del Rio did beat Cena during the US Challenge. Man...that's just further proof of how boring he is. That was the dopest Cena had been in years and I completely forgot it ended due to Del Rio. Man that's just bad.

I had some free time at work, so I thought back on all the ways that Del Rio is an asshole for this, and to build on my first post:
First is the fact that he threw Paige, the woman who was smitten with him and seemed willing at the time to sacrifice her job in the WWE to be with him, to the wolves to try to get a third chance in the WWE. Just the fact that he tried to place blame on her is bad enough and should just disqualify him from getting another shot since there's no way they'd take him over a woman that, despite all of this, they were willing to give another shot and is well-liked by Triple H, the man he called a pussy and wanted to physically assault.
Secondly, he blames her family as well, the same family who has spoken out against Del Rio and stated that they wanted to get her back from him. Both of these instances are just nothing but spiteful, he knows damn well that he'll never be brought back and is just trying to twist the knife deeper into a woman that is already suffering enough as it is right now.
Third, suppose all of this was true and Paige was enabling him [its bullshit, but just playing devil's advocate here]. Even if that was true, Del Rio is a 40-year old man AKA old enough to know better. This would just mean that he can't take responsibility for his actions.
And lastly, he's saying all of this while still employed by Impact Wrestling, their "competition". Stating that he's willing to jump back to the WWE is not gonna look good for them, and they've already got plenty about them to look bad from.
So at the very best, he's got an immature mindset with zero company loyalty, and at the worst, he's a controlling sociopath that refuses to take responsibility for his actions and is willing to hurt anyone that gets in his way. No doubt to me that its very much the latter.

WWE has a ton of wrestlers on their roster already. Think of everyone you see on TV, the wrestlers that don't make it to TV a lot of the time, and the people training in NXT.
Why on Earth would they want to spend money on someone who has been trouble, and would likely cause problems with a talent they already have? Even if Paige's wrestling days are over, she could become a good manager or commentator. There really would be no upside to rehiring Del Rio.

Not to mention, we've seen what his asking price was the last time that he signed with them.

If they legitimately resign him, and he ends up on Raw, then I absolutely fear for Paige's safety. No joke.

Seriously, he isn't worth the pay scale Vince wants to offer.
He's out of shape, on drugs, has an ego bigger than the Mexican state of Chihuahua, and has been violent on the job. Plus, he's over 40, and I KNOW that is WWE's favorite age tier right now, but that's not a lot of time for quality work.
The risks far outweigh the rewards. Hell, the rewards are nonexistent.

This problem will be eliminated once they find their reliable Mexican star who can corner that market for Vince. I mean, try to get RUSH, Aerostar, Drago, Texano, La Parka...hell, even Chavo...sign anyone and never have to mention that headache ADR ever again.

After he lost Ricardo and the cars, he had to rely on his own talent. We've seen how that went with the crowd. And he honestly thinks that they're gonna let that happen again?

How much do we have to pay WWE to make sure he's never hired there again? I'll start a damn GoFundMe if I have to.
