Kofi is a poster child for sticktoitevness. How can you not like that guy?

Kingston was actually one of the first rookie talents I got really behind when I was first able to watch regularly in 2007-2008, and I'm really happy for the career he's had so far, first in being a consistent midcard fixture for the first half of his run, then re-inventing himself to remain fresh in the second half, regularly winning championships along the way (I think there's only been one calendar year where he wasn't a champion during some point of it).

He had pretty much sured up a Hall of Fame career before New Day but that about solidified it. Him winning the Rumble would be a huge Pop not gonna lie...

I'd like him better with a Jamaican accent. 😁

Kofi was spinning his wheels before New Day come along. I'd say this is one instance were a veteran singles wrestler has salvaged his career by being in a tag team.

Holy shit, it really has been 10 years. I guess it doesn't feel like it given how long he was wallowing in irrelevance between the Orton feud and the beginning of New Day.

I wonder if he means Punk with the circumstance part or someone else. I know they were friends, and can imagine they've likely not talked a lot in the interim. It happens when people lead such very different lives after previously spending so much time together.

Yeah Kofi's got some crazy stats. The fact he's spent over 25% of his time in the company as a champion is incredible.

Sorta like Jericho, I don't think there was any stretch of time where he wasn't doing something on a ppv. (save for when he was injured obviously)
Dude was pretty much the king of the Midcard usually holding the IC or US Title... and on quite a few occasions he was the face gatekeeper to the main event.
and all of this was BEFORE the New Day run started.

Kofi weathered the storm of coming into the company at what was the absolute worst time possible, with all the circumstances working against him, and he's turned it into an amazing career. Good on him, but I still hold out hope he gets the big one some time; he's one of the last stars of the lost generation and he's f***ing earned it.

For real if I were running WWE Kofi would win the Rumble this year. He's probably the single most deserving person on the roster of the WWE title right now and it'd be an amazing moment.

Okay but what about a run with a guy who is easily one of the most over acts of the company, a massive merch mover, and absolutely adored wrestler? A thank-you run doesn't have to be a bad thing if it's executed properly, and the ascent of a guy who's never been good enough to break through the glass ceiling finally having that major push is one of the most basic feel-good wrestling stories there is.

I'm still pissed off he isn't a main eventer. The feud with Orton and the moment he beat Punk and Orton one after the other to be the sole Survivor of the SSeries should have led to him being a main eventer. He found have been 1b to Cena's 1a.
